Politics All Things Trump

The rich widow sending you mails, promising you love and money, isn't real.

There is much more like identity theft over false sites and its repercussions good luck in getting help.

The point is we have the Enkeltrick for example were people fake being a family member (enkel = grandson) in need and extort oftenly life savings of elderly people.

The accounts the money is transferred to are quickly emptied and were created for example with false passports bought over silk road type sites.

Putting your hands in the pocket and saying I'm merely providing a market place doesn't really absolve you.

lol

lmao even

What army? With what supplies?
Will they require US assets to transport them there and resupply them?
French can deploy GTIA to mali but not into greenland?
If it comes to that (it won't) a single company is enough.

few months time Greenland will beg to be a US province.
Recent poll in greenland indicated that majority do not want to join the US. Shocking i know.
Have to still admire the veiled French colonial audacity. As soon as there is mention of rare things in the earth.
Don't think there will be a need to deploy troops (france likes to talk, if poland said so i would believe lol) but it's pretty nice knowing that Europe won't leave Denmark alone in this, choosing between respecting territorial integrity vs president who will stay in power only for 4 years is a no brainer.

Well actually shocking and apparently worrying enough for the French to take action, to protect Greenlanders from themselves as usual see Africa ;

A pro-independence left-wing party has won the early election to the Parliament of Greenland held on 6 April and is set to lead the government of this self-governing island of Denmark. In total, 80% of the votes cast went to pro-independence candidates.

After which if I may use local Pacific islands it becomes a bidding war between the powers interested in influence and resources..
As usual Trump the better tea leaf reader, the better negotiator , the better at accessing real value.
The French sending guns is just another joke in the real scheme of the proccesses at play here.

As usual with those once laughed at tariffs this present joke will at some time become a real sensitive subject in the US as said strategic concern.

Its wildly ironic to talk about "colonial french" tendencies when we are discussing trump who is justifying the wish to takeover/annexation of the region with colonialist arguments, including the resources he wants to exploit that are found in the region.

A second shock might be that Greenland can be against joining the US and be pro independence at the same time. One would assume the "leader of the free world" would and will respect their decision.

Colonialism never really ended for the French, Macrons comment that Africa showed no gratitude shows they live in a transactional world andcourse the ingratitude applies to the Uranium supply and control thereof.

Trump is atleast honest.

Ingratitude...They hold on in New Caledonia despite the place having the best GDP out of all the islands through the Nickle mine. Recent demonstrations put down by military police flown in.

China...you teach a man to fish but you don't really want him right next door like Cuba.

We don't have the means to sustain these missions.

Mali had the advantage, for France, to be a country with long established "ties" to France. A remnant of the France-Afrique colonial era, if you will.
Getting the Malian's government's approval was a mere trifle, because a refusal on their part wasn't even an option.

Greenland is a whole other thing all together.
And that's without taking into account that the global context between the two are VERY different.

When France sent troops in Mali for anti-terror operations, our army wasn't in great shape in term of funding, but we still managed.
Nowadays however, we have the Ukrainian situation that depleted our stocks substantially. Budget wise things are not great at all, and from a public opinion perspective the answer would be a resounding no.

Macron is trying to posture to somebody and it is unclear who.
Not to the French, because you absolutely do not care, we have much more pressing issues at home that are in dire need of solving.
His European counterparts? Macron is on his way out, he only has 2 years left in office and can't run for a third term. His political career is over whatever way you look at it. Same thing for the other European leaders, and that's without talking about their popularity.

Von der Leyen and co won't be there forever. He's lining himself up to become one of the unelected czars of Europe, because that's the only way people like him can rule the way they want, without the annoying opinions of the peasantry.
