Politics All Things Trump

Do you know what is the average Vietnam tariff to the US? This is so stupid.

Hopefully all the leaders call Trump, say those lines, that gives Trump a nice clean exit and he can show to this followers he won. Everyone wins.
Yeah. The EU leaders should call Trump and make a compromise by lowering the tariffs from 39% to the average of 5%.

🤔

One problem with Vietnam is that they produce steel for half what it costs to make in the US and they dump it in the US through third parties and kill the US steel industry.

Interesting, interesting....

Shhhhh let them have their win. Most still cant accept that the US pulled those tariffs out of their asses. So Vietname will just say "we will lower the tariffs to around 5% to 10%. Americans will cheer trump and thought that they are winning, not knowing any better... not knowing that was the normal tariffs in Vietnam.

And no, Vietnam isnt "dumping" its steel in the US. It's American businessmen who would rather buy from Vietnam the same quality steel for far less.

Reasonable and targeted tariffs are fine in my books as they are a double edged blade. Tens of percents in tariffs against almost every other country and on a large range of goods won't end well.

I am also really tired of the constant lying by both the Trump and Putin administrations.

Many suggest that menial work is too hard. Nah these days they have auto tools for everything. It not like swinging axes, shovels and the screw driver these days rotates by itself... by the way our ancestors were and still are proud of work. Champion shearers, fencers and loggers are still honored here. Someone said working in a foundry was bad , I couldn't believe my eyes. SKILLED AND WELL PAID.

Some people need to do their homework, especially the resident CCP Ambassador. ;)

Helped? For a capitalist American pig, you sure dont have a clue how business and money flow do you? Corporate entities will flow through the path of least resistance aka costs. Vietnam didnt help China, Chinese companies. offshored labor intensive production as their people moved on to more complicated production and their labor pool started costing more... America ---> China ---> Vietnam. S**t rolls down hill, there was no scheme, it was just evolutionary.

This is why I am saying Murika! Wins! right now, could back fire by the US losing the Asian market. The trade war works on a by country basis, instead of isolating yourself instead.

Then again I'm talking to guys that think crashing the stock market and pushing the US into a recession is a master stroke.

I did. And in my line of work I sell to them and I visit them. In Central Europe they still rely on a lot labor force and few are highly automated although I know this is coming...and when that happens it will level the playing field in labor costs but will require very few blue collar workers.

This is so f- stupid. Coming from Trump who lambasts media as fake news, but Warren Buffet- never said such a thing.

edit. Am I the only one that finds it cringe that US president has to re-post explanatory videos of his own policies made by random social media accounts. Its reeks of "oh yeah, sure that sounds smart, that was my plan all along"
