Politics The EU is killing Europe

I'll try to explain. The melting pot is real. I am the son of immigrants, the first American born in my family. My wife is the daughter of immigrants. I am proud of my heritage, but I am also 100% red, white and blue. You can have a Greek Town, China Town, etc., and still know who you are.

The English and Scotch resisted the Irish. Before you know it they were intermarrying. The Germans didn't come to the US and tell the Irish, you are infidels, we will enter your homes and convert you to Lutheranism while we rape your daughters. Everyone added to the melting pot. Everyone was just happy to be here and work, have opportunity, progress and raise a family. Greeks marrying Italians, Germans marrying Dutch.

Next thing you know, we're all Americans. And if you are first or second generation or so, you still keep your traditions from the "old country" alive.

It's a beautiful thing.
oh. the good old second generation self-hatred thing,,,,, so much makes sense

As correctly noted by a Redditor the EU has no propaganda outlet like all other houses of evil notably China and Russia.

But here it is the bad bad EU is the second largest economy on Earth and not according to dubious numbers like ppp but real numbers.

While Russia is winning to death and China growing to death.

But watch their news..success after success while everything around them burns. Fire is extinguished by shooting the messenger and more propaganda - best plan ever.

You say it's naive to think that the great powers think of the interests of others than themselves. But the great powers are very anti-EU.
Are we lying to each other or are we just playing around that "you" have Europe's interests first and foremost in mind?

Multinational organizations are the devil in themselves for some of you, but Denmark seems to have just proven the value of the EU and NATO multinational organizations. Denmark alone would have been, well, very alone.

Thats the exact reason faking doing something good for you while getting rid of annoying competition.

The anti EU (mostly) in a nutshell.

I once sat on a long flight from Japan near an "Estonian" guy was end of 2009.
Had quite a nice interaction but when we landed in Amsterdam he on immigration said ah entering again the f***ing EU thats when I realized he was a Russian guy.

Told him to F*** off to Russia if everything is so shitty over here.

Russia for example needs tiny powerless fractioned states as the current US administarion would also prefer.

While keeping their integrity, nagging off parts of others or coercing them.

European countries are being over run by millions of immigrants.
Last week was a good but sad example of this; you are wrong but in a way that does not bring me joy.

The leftist government of Spain decided to grant citizenship to 500k illegal immigrants. The EU has nothing to do with it and is not involved.

So yes, the European countries themselves, with their own voting behavior, are creating these problems, and not some faceless bureaucrats in Brussels.
Maybe they are easier to blame than the idiot next door who votes for gips me dat, I don't know.

The ironic conclusion of this thread is that maybe the EU should take a bigger role than the member states in these issues. 😂

Crazy stuff in Spain. Add to that the nutjob former Minister of Equality, screeching about wanting illegal immigrants to "replace" Spanish citizens and you have a suicide pact going on over there. WTF!!!

I did listen to a Yanis Varoufakis podcast recently, where he mentioned a European Federation. One military, one foreign policy, full fiscal union, etc. I find myself fascinated by what Varoufakis has to say, even though we are at opposite ends of the political spectrum and usually I ultimately disagree with his conclusions. But, he is very intelligent and well spoken.

A European Federation would be a Superpower rivaling the US and China. But I can't imagine it ever happening for various reasons, not the least of which is the UK and France giving control of their nukes to the Federal Government.
