A bunch of IPI Malyuks. It is said to have completed Ukrainian army trials in 2016, and it is now believed to be in limited use by the Ukrainian military. It partly serves as an alternative to the Ukrainian IMI Tavor clone.
And also a Zbroyar Z10.

Combination of these guns are usually seen among Ukrainian SOFs.

These guys also appear to be wearing Jaba Stepova camo, which is, again, consistent with Ukrainian SOF.

Would be kind of awkward if regular Ukrainian police, or even civilians, started arresting Ukrainian soldiers and SFs.
Which wouldn't fail to remind the "Russian soldiers dressed as Ukrainian soldiers" who got killed while driving a truck with a ZSU 23-2 mounted on the back.
do you think it was fratricide?

^^ Looks more like a photoshoot. This guy still has his weapon on him.

At $15bn a day, he has a war chest of about 10 day

Seems to be why are seeing limited missile strikes

Plus, it's going to take a while to replace everything they have already lost

It's certainly possible, however the Russians might have underestimated Ukrainian resolve, skills, and equipment as well. It's also possible that the Russians are keeping better equipment and units in reserve just in case NATO gets involved. Also, these possibilities certainly aren't mutually exclusive. We really won't know until all is said and done and even then things might be a bit foggy.
I dont think so, I think what we have seen is what they have, the baseline for Russian army. they have been on a modernization program for a while now, but as we can see, they are not there yet. I think the Ukraine can 'win' this, or at least end it on their own terms. you cant fight to save people from something.

Who knows really.

The only thing I can say for sure is what is present on that picture.

Dudes with UKR SF gear and UKR SF weapons.

Are they indeed UKR SF, or Russians dressed as UKR SF? No idea.
Are they UKR SF mistakenly arrested by UKR police? No idea.
Are they UKR ST arrested by Russian police? Considering the town would have been, assumedly, captured recently I would expect the police to, at least, be Military Police and not regular policemen.
Are they "Russian saboteurs"? No idea.
Who are the ones arresting them? No idea.

Is it a photoshoot? No idea, but that would not be a huge surprise. Lots of propaganda flying around.
If that's the case, whose side organized it? No idea.

Looks like these Ukrainian BMPs are not fitted with snow-tracks.

Could be another future way to distinguish the origins of the vehicles.

No it's not staged, but it was filmed at least a day earlier than the claims of shot down Russian transport started and there are conflicting claims about what is actually shot down, so it's not likely footage of that.
So far I've not seen any evidence for that claim, so personally I think it's likely propaganda.
Believe what you will, but personally I know Russia is lying a lot, but Ukraine can be on a whole other level at times. So I think a lot of posts here are pure fabrication, chief among them the claims of shot down Russian transports. If some evidence surfaces I'll change my mind - so far it's day two, and double the claims with still zero evidence to show for it.
I dont think we are talking about the same video.

not sure if we are talking about the same thing, no worries if not but what I am talking about there was no arresting going on, unless by arresting you mean filling someone with lots 7,62x39 holes... I was talking about the video filmed from up above, they are definite KIA

I don't know what you are talking about then. :)

I was talking about the picture of "dudes" in full gear lying down on a pier.

That's a single abandoned T-72B1 not part of any convoy.

No "z" markings either.

Could very well be one used by the Separatists or one captured by the Ukrainian in the Donbas.

We can see a unit marking on one of the era bricks in the 2nd picture.

edit: Ok, so, another marking visible is "H2200". Such inscriptions are usually left over after transport on Russian railways.
