Luxembourg's foreign minister Jean Asselborn, however, thinks that the issue is not at all the PKK or the Kurdish question in general. Instead he accuses Erdogan of featuring a "bazar mentality". According to Asselborn, Erdogan is trying to strike a better compensation deal with regards to the cancelled F-35 contract with the US.

I know what Erdogan is like here and what he wants. I am writing this as a Turkish citizen who lost his friends in the attacks of PKK and ISIS terrorist organizations. Erdogan may speak this way today and speak 180 degrees differently tomorrow. However, if the Erdogan government changes tomorrow, the political power that will replace it still does not want Sweden, this is what I am trying to explain.

Stalin was so much more clever - as the war went on, his meddling was smaller and smaller.

Because Stalin fvcked up from the get go, especialy when he purged his officer corps. He learned his lesson quickly when the war broke out.

If we one day decide, we need a compact threat, we just have to skip all these Ukraine repulses this, Russia fails at that posts and just post what's really surprising.

If we only posted about successful Russian advances, we'd be at page 20 instead of 1000

Ukraine repulsing a Russian attack by now is as surprising as warm temperatures in summer ;)

Even though I regularly watch Tucker, some stuff he is way off on and clearly doesn't understand geopolitics or history. NATO, even though an alliance created to counter the Soviet Union, is still very relevant today. For example, NATO gives the US unprecedented leverage with it's members, whether it be united military engagements, intel sharing, standardization of weapon systems, etc. and most importantly it is a framework to keep your allies ... well allies. It is still relevant against Russia as well, Russia is militarily much stronger than European nations, and it could easily take the Baltics and or other countries at will if it wasn't for NATO to serve as a deterrent.

Many large nations such as China, Russia, etc. would kill to have something similar to NATO and the power projection this enables along with influence, political weight, etc. all which make the US a super power. Some such as Tucker don't understand that, and if NATO was to go away so would US influence in Europe and with it it's influence in the world. I guess some want the US to not be the power it is? If that is so then just be open about it.

If the ISIS flag was unfurled on Turkey's busiest street, what do you think would be the reaction against Turkey?
2014, an ISIS rally in The Hague.

This is covered by freedom of speech and freedom of assembly rights in the constitution. The reason it wasn't repeated is because even the terrorists realized what an intelligence gold mine it was.

European national assemblies are very hessitant to ban parties, organizations, imagery, symbols etc unless they've been banned by the EU or other international body.
