Politics Riots in Gaza and Israel

Just looking at a map, why didnt the Palestinians all move to sinai, and build a new country there? After 50 years of arguing, sometimes you just have to move on. I'm pretty sure the nasty old 'west' has offered billions to do just that, move on - shack up with the iranians if you want, but move on.

Don't project that defeatist western mentality on a proud and uprooted people like the Palestinians. They (and the entire region) will never cease to fight for justice until Israel stops occupying PA lands.

Most of the money handed out by the West ended up being used to build tunnels.

Their foreign handlers don't want that, they want continues conflict to hinder Israel. Palestinians mean nothing to any country surrounding Israel other than a useful tool. The Palestinians/Arabs living in Israel are better off than any in Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon except for the terrorist leadership who funnel development aid to line their own pockets.

We did it to the Germans in Poland and Czechoslovakia after WWII and displaced thousands. There are legal attempts for displaced German families to get their properties back, but deep down noone wants that because it' s time to move on and to close 70 year old issues that can be solved without the drama.

I'm not sure it' s right to displace people for who the most part have done nothing wrong...Not to mention the Sinai is mostly inhospitable to anyone who is' nt a Bedouin or a waiter at Sharm el Sheik.

Reality check is that the Jews and the Arabs are there. Many Arabs have full rights by being Israeli citizens, but there are many are in a grey zone that noone seems to be able to clear up.

which means what - all of old palistine? or just Gaza and WB?

Not up to me, but I would say: the 1967 borders.
You are out of your mind. That was' nt even "Palestine" when the Israelis moved in after being attacked by the Jordanians who were occupying the territory. It was' nt a border but a "cease-fire" line from 1948.

Who cares. The Green Line was de facto border of Israel up until 1967.

De facto it was a separation line between Israel and the troops from Jordan and Egypt.

It was a fragile line, and presenting unacceptable risks for Israel.

If you want to improve the lives of Arabs without Israeli citizenship there, you need to start from a realistic point of view. Let' s not forget the Arabs lost.
