Yeah well, we have been warning about that for years in academia.

They didn't listen.

Oh well...

Well, I know it's bad, especially on January 1st, but if I may be allowed to indulge in a bit of Schadenfreude...

Today, on a French mainstream channel, the latest Indiana Jones is being aired (the one heavy laced with woke ideology, and burdened with a poorly acting boss-girl...). The fact it's being aired so shortly after its release is significative of the fact they've already cancelled :p all hope of gaining money in the theaters, or even on paying channels. That's the last bit of money they can hope to squeeze out of that disaster. And frankly, I wont watch it, even for free,as I don't think I did anything to deserve to bear that bore! ;)

So they're not merely interested in making people destitute and desperate enough to vote for them, but also "other" acts of desperation.

Not surprised coming from the party of freaks and degenerates.
A Blanket n nice stout wool sock and one bar of soap. That scene from Steel Metal Jacket with the blanket party was just the way it was in those days. It had a lot of triggers but the results are the same, a bar of soap hurts like hell. In my time 58 years ago it was mostly served to those that didn't like showers, no one cared about special orders or serial numbers, just take a doggone bath.

I was reading about it last month how they were using old footage because they couldn't make Harrison look young again. Youtube is full of free old really good movies. I usually watch Lonesome Dove every winter, no special reason for winter but a cold gray day laying up makes it special. I managed after looking very hard to find Return To Lonesome Dove, it was John Voight as the Captain and he did a really super job of acting. Hard to believe most of those people in the original movie are all gone now.

I’m really tired of woke crap being jammed into everything, but I managed to really enjoy the latest Indiana Jones movie. I saw it in the theater on a really nice big screen and perhaps that just helped me sit back and get my money’s worth.

it was a lot of good fun, and of course the Nazi soldiers get their “axis” kicked.

I do prefer classic movies though. Watching them on YouTube Is something I should try!

I like the old black and white War Movies, if you search youtube be sure to just type youtube first and then a title. Now some have ads but you can get an add-on for Firefox or chrome to stop those annoying youtube ads. Then of course there are those pay or rent movies which I ignore. Also the streaming sites usually have a free edition that you would be surprised to see, really good movies, one site is hulu or Tubi and there are others even major networks like Peacock, they have a free tier with great movies. I always copy and paste a good title url I don't want to watch at the moment and it saves a lot of time retrieving the movie locations. There are so many movies that were good back in the day. Just a couple Sink The Bismark, or Cross of Iron, Battle of The Bulge ... just unlimited watching ;0)

The Longest Day is one of my favorite. Don’t think it’s on YouTube, of course a classic.
