What is hilarious about these "banned books" is, first of all, they are not banned.

But, though activists and teachers demand they are made available to children and provided to school libraries, parents are not allowed to read excerpts of these books to council and board meetings.

Why?

Not because of copyright issue and other infringements of author-rights.

No.

They are not allowed to read these books because what is read is deemed inappropriate. It is inappropriate to read, out loud, explicit graphic depictions on children engaged in sexual acts with other children and/or adults.

But... it is perfectly appropriate for children to read these books for themselves.

I see on the news and tele that Ol' President Joe Biden did a lecturing speech about how Trump and the conservative Republicans are "banning book"........but he FAILS to mention in the speech is that the only ones they are banning are the ones the kids should NOT BE READING....... How to have sex, gay or hetro, how to have oral & anal sex, how to be gay etc. Just unbelievable, goo god!!!

Bobby Jindal did a good job as Governor, Edwards had too many people to pay back. His first day he tried to increase gas taxes. We're lucky conservatives still control the purse strings here. I see Kennedy running for Governor once he gets enough of DC. There should be a ban against any Catholic presiding over a national or local death penalty law.
