Politics Stolen Election In Venezuela

Example a govt woke named company that cannot get a profit in what should be the easiest place in the world to farm and in a "developed "economy.
Anything they want they get and have their consultants on oversized salaries with ego sized offices no ordinary farmer would waste his mony on.
The loss would be doubled if they hadn't got a carbon credit windfall.

Same with Venezuela ..all that oil and all that poverty and no accountability.

Pāmu: State-owned farming company registers $26m full-year loss

State-owned farming company Pāmu has recorded a full-year loss of $26 million due to falling livestock prices, high interest rates and the ongoing costs related to Cyclone Gabrielle.

The company, formerly known as Landcorp Farming, manages 112 dairy, deer and sheep farms across more than 360,000ha of farmland nationwide.

The loss for the 12 months to the end of June compares with a $9m loss the year before.

Revenue dropped 2.8% to $282m, with livestock revenue down $4m on the previous year to $103m, reflecting softer livestock pricing.

Much like many of the cane farmers here some 35 years ago, they were declaring total loss on crops due to wind damage or laid over. It makes it difficult to cut cane that is laid over so they just let it lie there and rot until they plow it over, the crop insurance paid them and they made profit because they had no equipment repairs which was a given in every harvest, cane is one of the most damaging crops to harvest on your equipment. Today the machinery has been revolutionized but the cost jumped up 500 percent. You no longer have to burn the stalks free of leaves or the mill won't accept it. The cane is chopped into small pieces and the amount the cart can load it probably 4 to 5 times greater making less trips back and fourth with your trucks. All of the mills are total electric today in America. 35 years ago my local mill had a one month electric bill for 850,000 dollars. The farmer I worked for saw the bill and told me this.

Straight out of the russian playbook after the Venezuelan opposition leader fled to Spain Venezuela has rounded up the foreigners, four Americans, two Spaniards and one Czech national and charged them with espionage, to be used as bargaining chips.
