The problem for russia is that manpower has always been their go-to solution for every problem, both offensive and defensive.

Fuel shortage? -> Human waves
Lack of reconnaissance plaforms? -> Put out human bait
Clear minefields-> Take stick, beat mine
Artillery shortage? -> Human waves
Logistical problems? -> Use more human mules
Tank shortage? -> Human waves

When the cannon fodder runs out there is no option other than to get more, and the African "volunteers" aren't going to offset the losses.

Looks like Russia lost 1M in last couple of years, USA gained a couple of million. UK is slight growth.

Human wave attacks must have been cool in the 40's and 50's, maybe they stopped because we took the quad 50 cal mount away? or did they stop because of the quad 50 mount.....

Also not going to deny, but Western Europe tried the human wave thing, back in 1914.....

@Fluff

ISW's Kimberly Kagan explains Russia's tactics in the following way: "Putin […] seems willing to take hideous losses as long as he makes minor gains and prevents Ukraine from retaking territory, trying to convince Ukraine and its backers that the war is unwinnable. He is trying to shape our perceptions, because he cannot decisively change the reality." (Source)

Which sounds plausible enough.
Having said that, Russia has always been willing to incur a greater-than-necessary blood toll. Self-sacrifice is part of their national mythos.

Since this is an English speaking site, I don't know what it says. But I'm sure it's some anti-Trump nonsense.

And your laughing smilie is childish. Only you know why you are laughing. Are you 9 years old? Does your mom know you're on her computer?

"Every Marine is, first and foremost, a rifleman"
So is Scott Shitter, usually known as Scott Ritter, to you?
He is a marine who has become Putin's byatch.

Vance is the main advocate for cutting off U.S. aid to Ukraine and making "peace" with RuZZia. His links to the Orc Orthodox Church are evident. He often talks about "compromises" that means nothing but a RuZZian victory.

I've already answered your question above. Regarding the language, Twatter has got a built-in translator.

JD Vance guarants that Ruzzia wouldn't have invaded Ruzzia if Trump had been president.

The usual trifle. What would he have done? He even showed Kim that he is a geopolitical and strategic noob.

After his destroy Norks rethoric he then tried to sweet talk Kim like an idiot.

Expect the same haphazard behaviour towards Putler.

Forbes magazine reported Russia's superiority in artillery in the war in Ukraine. As Forbes notes, Russia and Ukraine have different strategies, but there is one aspect that remains the same: both sides rely heavily on artillery. In this area, Russia has a clear advantage. According to Forbes, Russian troops fire approximately 10,000 rounds per day, while Ukrainian forces fire about 2,000. Russia uses a combination of Soviet-era self-propelled guns, such as the 2S19 Msta-S, and newer systems, notably the 2S33 Msta -SM2". In addition, Russia has established production of up to 250 thousand shells per month. Now on the battlefield, the Russian army uses not only artillery systems designed in the USSR, but also those already developed in Russia. Ukraine uses Soviet self-propelled guns, one of them is the 2S3 Akatsiya, and new self-propelled guns provided by NATO are the American M109 Paladin self-propelled guns, the British AS-90 and the French CAESAR. Forbes reported that such a large number of different equipment has become a problem for Ukraine. The Ukrainian army is heavily dependent on supplies of shells for Western equipment, which it does not produce itself.

Pretty sure ukr is now making 155mm shells, it’s not rocket science. Also just read that Russia can make 25 new barrels per month, but needs hundreds. All made on European machines. Good luck with spare parts….

In the Dutch elections people didn't vote the way they did to support Ukraine. In the UK or French elections no one really gave a thought for Ukraine either. The economy, lack of housing, immigration, the environment and loads of other topics were things that affected voting, Ukraine wasn't even in the top 10.

National politicians are elected to address concerns people have in their daily lives, foreign powerplays are very low on the priority list.

I’d say in U.K., most people support what we have done for Ukraine, and the 2 parties has the same policy, so it wasn’t an issue. Also not sure the vote was really on policies, conservatives really felt tired out, labour had got rid of most of their old unpalatable policies, like corbyn, disarmament, high taxes, so we give labour a chance.

Of course, you mean taxes on the people who are not some poor losers, as the latter will get a lot of sh1t for free from our taxes.

The U.S.A. forced Ukraine into giving up its nuclear weapons and threatened it with sanctions if it did not obey the American wish. Then, the Budapest Memorandum happened.

Presently, ol' Drumpf mumbles about not giving a sh1t about Taiwan under the pretext of the latter having taken over the U.S. microchip industry.

If things go as they are now, the U.S.A. will lose its world leader status to #chinavirusDevelopers.

If some U.S. politicians believe politics are all about doing business, the Orcs will put a good offer on the table for the sole purpose of fvcking the U.S.A. up and putting a wedge between the U.S.A and its allies.

I think we will see a big push to get people off benefits, of ‘the sick’. Not for political reasons, just that now there are no excuses, there are jobs, and even minimum wage now pays 24k. Plus it really improves government budget, to spend it on things they want to do. Previously it wasn’t an issue, as we didn’t have jobs, and we had cheap eastern eu people to do them.

Ten years since Russia shot down passenger flight MH17. It's forces on the ground took some nice photos of themselves at the crash site when they weren't too busy looting.

That's as sickening as it is interesting. I'd only ever seen a video of the "rebels" first finding the wreckage.
The people being filmed seemed genuinely upset and even somewhat remorseful at the time when they realised they'd downed a passenger aircraft rather than an actual military transport.
