according to Ukraine channels, they’ve penetrated in Zaporizhya , gained some important heights. Looks like they’ve lost some amount of Leo’s and Bradleys. Wish them success.

P.S. they definitely are missing some F-16 support

At the moment on flightradar24, it looks like an A-50 Mainstay.

Orcish channels are reporting, that UA forces managed to penetrate defense lines in Orekhov and now are on a march. According to morning videos, those Leopards and Bradleys, after some losses, managed to do their job. If everything is right, it will be the repeat of Kharkyv offensive. Also very good news from Bakhmut, most likely encirclement will happen.
Let’s wish boys best of luck!

I too like the idea. However, I'm wondering how long it would take to train the local crews and pilots for the planes to become ready for combat in UKR.
6 months?
or maybe the gripen or mirage would be more suitable?
regardless, kicking the can down the road when they could have already been training them for 'something' seems ludicrous....

That's the Escalation Ladder and political tiptoeing around the constituency dictating the pace rather than military necessity.

I think this is in the period after Russia withdraws. For now Ukr has had all the spare Mig29 and maybe a few su24 and su25 from everyone. They almost certainly have more active aircraft than they started with. In terms of numbers they probably need 6 or so Sqn, so maybe not enough F16's around, so a mix of F16 and F18, or more politically correct, would be F16 and Typhoon? The RAF wants rid of its early aircraft.

seeing blown up Leo2, AMX etc will not be a surprise. their not unvencible. I hope they use it with total care though.
They are being used, so there will be losses, but note the rest of the vehicles are on the enemy position, so mission success, and the russians are so hot that they got one Leo2, they show us their defeat.....

Even though it pains me to see the first Leos "die", if this is the expected offensive, I wish the Ukies kick the Orcs' asses so thoroughly that they just scream for mama. I am so sick of the orcs and the current regime, they should all go to hell!
