Every time a Russian (or someone from let's say Australia who agrees with everything that Russia does and defends them no matter what, but is definitely not Russian) brings up the nazis it's like people like Lenin, Stalin and Beria never existed along with their entire murderous regime. Always saying how evil the nazis were while ignoring the systematic crimes against humanity committed by communist Russia or even glorifying it.
People from nations who set up gulags 15 years before the nazis set up concentration camps don't hold the moral high ground over them.
The one power move that Biden has left is massively upping the ante: To deploy troops to Ukraine's border with Russia and Belarus and make it clear that any harm dealt to US troops whether it's by Russian forces or by polite people will be regarded as a declaration of war from Russia. Whether one US soldier is posted to the border or 100,000 is in that case irrelevant as the message it conveys is the same. Putin doesn't respect kind words, he respects power. Anything less won't make him back down and will mean either huge concessions by the Ukrainians or war and will set the stage for these actions to be repeated.
Normally this would be out of the question both legally and politically, but what does Biden have to lose? His popularity is already low and still going down. Plenty of lawmakers in both parties are willing to go, to say nothing of the special interest groups like establishment critters, defence contractors, lobbyists etc. He already knows that the party is going to be decimated in November. The only thing that might save him is a decisive win on the global stage over either Russia or China. Going all-in is the only option left unless he wants to concede defeat already barely into the second year of his presidency.
I suspect a lot of these troops will be the same as those that went into Afghanistan. 82nd ABN ready brigade, MEU and SOF. I also think they will perform the same job if needed, to evacuate western citizens from Kiev and some other places in western Ukraine.
Yeah that's the funny thing whenever Russians or Chinese people brag about their latest missile or slightly updated T-72, they conveniently assume that the US and other NATO members stopped developing and fielding new technology in 1989.

In regards to the weather: Last month a severe cold front was predicted for the first few weeks of February, but it's now looking like it will be warmer than usual for this time of year.
