The question is WHO and HOW will solve such issues
All in all, I have no recollection of Ukraine really lifting itself out of the post-Soviet oligarchy. Why I say both communities are messed up is that I don' t think Ianoukovitch with his "Pablo Escobar" zoo gave a better example of governance than other Ukrainians. Corruption is not on one side. Nor is violence, nor is dishonesty, and xenophobia as some comments on this board show. And it' s pretty crazy when you think about it as frankly Ukrainians and Russians share so much as Eastern Slavs.

It may take an exceptional Ukrainian, a good deal by the US and Russia to freeze Ukraine as Finland was (and in a lesser way how Austria was) but it will take the will to live together by the people there and accept changes in history. This is'nt only the doings of leaders.

Not sure what are you talking about, but no one ever cares about Baltic states. These countries lost half population without any war. We just need to wait for a several years to get great deserted lands as a buffer zone. ?

Ukraine under the rule of pro-western regime is a repressive nationalists state, where people prohibited speak their native language, teach children own language and culture. Despite these rights declared as a basic human rights by European and world institutions (same with baltic states). Pro-western Ukrainian regime imposed cruel repressions on own people and in the same time rob own country, that is why people leave Ukraine. At least million people leave Ukraine for Russia in the last several years. All this tragedy was started because US was not happy even with moderate pro-western Ukraine prior 2014. They want extremely anti-russian terror regime.

So no one really cares about Baltics states but
One way or another Russia will liberate Ukraine.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, the author knows little or not enough about Ukraine. The two counties in eastern Ukraine are not Russian-majority either. It should be made clear that the Scots, Irish and many other nep are not English by virtue of the fact that their zom speak only or mainly English, thanks to the British Empire's previous policy of violent Anglo-Scottishness.
Specifically, Donetsk and Luhansk are both Ukrainian-majority. Also, Russian identity does not automatically mean Russian imperial identity, certainly not Putinist.
By the way, there are far more Russians (or Russian speakers) fighting in the Ukrainian volunteer units, and precisely from Donetsk, among other places, than in the so-called Russian People's Republics. Most of the armed forces of the latter are mercenaries and demobilised soldiers from Russia who came from across the border (and sometimes active Russian regulars are deployed, see the Pskov paratroopers and Buryat tankers who died in Ukraine). The founding president of the Donetsk 'People's Republic', Alexander Boroday, is a Russian citizen born in Moscow (now a member of the Russian Duma, of Putin's party), as is his so-called Minister of Military Affairs, Igor 'Strelkov' Girkin, the latter a former FSB officer. He is wanted for the shooting down of the Malaysian plane.
The point is: there is no direct correlation between primary or secondary language use and national identity, let alone political ideology. There are millions of examples in Europe and worldwide to prove it.
In Ukraine, 80-90% of the population is either native Russian speakers or uses Russian as a primary or second language. Why? Because the Russian empire and then the Soviet Union imposed the Russian language on them, Ukrainian was restricted in offices and schools, sometimes banned completely, even in the street and in publishing.
Serbian is not Croatian, although they share 99% of their mother tongues. Czech is not Slovak. The native German speakers of Switzerland, Austria and Luxembourg are a different nation from German, even though they all speak German by and large. A Flemish Belgian is not Dutch, even though his mother tongue is Dutch. The majority of Kazakhs, Kalmyks, Tatars have Russian as their mother tongue (half of them, a third of them only speak Russian), yet they are not Russian.
Are Nigerians, Jamaicans, Canadians English? No, Maaaargit.
Putin deliberately invented it to question Ukrainian national identity, now he says they don't exist, it's an old Tsarist policy. He considers anyone who speaks Russian to be Russian per definitonem, but mainly his supporter, and hatarvaltozast ker.
By the way, the Ukrainian language is characteristically different from Russian, overlapping more with Polish, for example. Some Ukrainians don't speak it either, because of centuries of violent russification, but they are very proud of it. One of the most nationalistic Ukrainian cities in the region of 1.5 million people is Odessa, or Herszon, although hardly any Ukrainian is spoken here, the majority are Ukrainian.

Kirby could not answer the question of who will be the commander of the new "rapid reaction" group in Europe.
He started to sound more and more like Psaki, even his voice.

And that is supposed to mean what exactly?

On 25 March 2019, Trump proclaimed recognition by the USA of the Golan Heights as part of the State of Israel making the United States the first country to recognize Israeli rather than Syrian sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
But the 28 member states of the EU declared in turn that they do not recognize Israeli sovereignty, and several experts on international law reiterated that the principle remains that land gained by either defensive or offensive wars cannot be legally annexed under international law.
Thus making it internationally recognized (apart from the US) as Syrian territory occupied by Israel.

Therefore, Syria is within its rights to patrol over the Golan Heights, and jointly with Russia if they decide so.

You are so badly wrong i just won't touch this pile of crap and comment this at all.

However, i am for sure know enough about Ukraine. My grandmother Ukrainian (she lived in Stavropol and Kazakhstan and do not speak any ukrainian). My wife have Ukrainian grandmother (from Nezhin, northern Ukraine) and Belorussian grandfather.

And here in Siberia a lot of people with Ukrainian and Belorussian ancestors, many with Ukr family names, but considers themselves Russian. Because Ukrainians and Belorussian never considered the other nations then Russian and mixed marriages were as widespread as the Russians ones (this were very rare with tatars, caucasus or asians or any other nations).

Remember back then when the US actually would throw tank in your face to tell you to calm the f&%k down?

Who ever planted the idea that the next war will just "insurgents" and low intensity in the minds of Western Generals should have gotten the Hero of the Soviet Union medal that or ehatever the hell is the Chinese equivalent.
Maybe just that we with American generals remember that throwing tanks at the time to which this video refers ended in nothing. So why strain the soldiers once again and waste fuel in vain?:)

I would think the road trips alone would be worth the trip for any armored column worth its salt. I mean the Russians seems to enjoy visiting the region, they must know something we dont.

Croatia just tapped out.
