Depends, I think they could well build some 70s era T72, but all the equipment for modern electronic warfare they can't. Setting up an entirely domestic production even of T72s is probably gonna take longer than this war lasts and producing rolling coffins probably isn't very helpful for that matter either
if they have parts in stock then yes. But most roller bearings come from germany -SKF brand - or a cheap copy from China......Need a lot of bearings in a tank...

I'd suggest they would be better to keep what mechanical parts they have for repair and refurb of existing tanks, but Putin stopped listening to me months ago.....

Putin's war in Ukraine has turned out to be a massive strategic blunder. Putin has achieved the exact opposite of his goal. Both Finland and Sweden have applied for NATO membership.

I remember there was a big article about how sanctions had halted military production across Russia keeping them from supplying more equipment to the front.

The Chechens that were, up until now, operating in Mariupol will be redeployed to Propasnaya.

Seven "buses with surrendered troops" are reported to have left Azovstal, according to Reuters.

Though it is not clear if these 7 buses are in addition to the ones that left yesterday, or if these 7 buses are the ones that left yesterday.
It is also unclear if it was done in exchange for something like a POW exchange. According to Dmitry Polyansky, Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, that is.
10 tanks being sent as front page news (with blessings from a priest and holy relics included inside) is not a sign that article is false, but the opposite. Russian military production must have many problems, if the production of 10 tanks (likely mostly completed before the war began) is treated in this way.

Well, that's actually the least concerning part, given that via EU, Finland and Sweden were de facto NATO members beforehand. No real change on the ground here, just a formal declaration of allegiance

I agree. Putin is a strategic genius. I do suspect though. That when the Ukraine-Russia war is studied in the years to come. It will be Zelensky's strategic leadership that is used as an exemplar rather than Putin's. It's just my opinion.

To the rest of the world it is becoming apparent that the Russian's picked a fight with the wrong people.

Not related to this conflict, but the Bundeswehr struggles with the digital communication.

A long story short: the allies refuse communicating with German troops due to the latter lacking a digital and encrypted communication.

In Mali, they communicated stopping a German vehicle, while they used an unencrypted text in Lithuania.

Sure if you look twitter or YT, Ukraine is winning
But reports are also emerging about their casualties (very quickly removed from the net, strangely /sarcasm)
50-80 KIA/day and 300 to 400 WIA/day from the beginning of the war
So something about 40 000 casualties already for the UKA
Unsustainable in the long term and hindering any serious counter attack prospect

Yes clearly all such posts of Ukrainian victories are fake news. The BTG is the perfect tactical command structure and Ukraine cannot win against its superiority. Especially since they have no fuel and no railroads and no ammunition and no aircraft. All their drones have been destroyed six times over just to be sure.

I didn't really get what you were getting at, since I don't see how it's related to Finland / Sweden in NATO. But commenting on what you said, I think what will stick is Putin's blunder and the new unity of the "west".
Zelensky's legacy also will also be judged on what will happen after Ukraine's inevitable victory, so we're not done here yet.

I am very positive that Putin will be done after this war, though. Could have stepped down after 2014 and probably been a Russian hero, but that's not what dictators generally do. Mussolini didn't stop in Ethiopia, Hitler didn't stop in Poland ... they tend to dig their own graves.

Ukrainian thanks for Czech military hepl and Ukrainian message in Czech at Ukrainian missile as revenge for the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968
