Politics Riots in Gaza and Israel

Ouch, did you get badly burned when you set that strawman on fire?

Now I as a right-winger support fully Hamas in this fight because I approve of their habit of throwing homosexuals off tall buildings, of keeping women in the home where they belong and of executing people foolish enough to disagree with these policies.

I'm talking about the likes of reactions like these (page 1):

Sad thing is in the UK BBC and Sky only bang on about the innocent children killed by Israeli airstrikes - nothing about the indiscriminate launching of rockets on civilian areas

Perhaps they should show things like this as it demonstrates the scum you are dealing with

Just hope Israel puts this down as brutally as possible as I am sick to death of Palestinians

I would start by taking the mosque down and rebuilding a church there

Satellite pictures showing damage to Ashkelon oil facility in Israel after a precision strike by Hamas with an Iranian kamikaze drone:

So... Iran is involved.
Iran provided weapons to Hamas in order to carry out attacks against Israel.

For some reason, out of an entire oil facility, they decided to crash that "high precision kamikaze drone" on one oil storage. While the main processing facility is just meters away.

Looks more like "Yeah! our unguided rockets salvo somehow managed to hit something! great victory! precision! superior technology!"

Took them that long to claim this was their doing by some peak-technology WunderWaffe?

Also, being pro-Israel is being right-wing now?

Can anyone translate 'plausible deniability' into persian?

This is the sort of 'publicity' you dont really want your customers to issue.

Okay pardon me if my question sounds amateur-ish, but I just want to understand why certain people support Israel in this?
Let's start with Arabs attacking Israel from a couple of sides at the start of their main religious festival when everyone was on holiday

Hamas firing thousands of rockets at Israel - not guided munitions but unguided - indiscriminate missiles

What should Israel do just sit there and take it or do what they can to defend their country and their population?

If the Russians were lobbing a couple of thousand missiles at you, I am pretty sure you would be unhappy with them

My answer would be equally amateurish quite frankly, but @Mardonius tried to explain things a little even though I don’t think he’s spot on.

All around western countries and particularly European countries, there’s a blatant bias toward the Palestinians from our medias (BBC, CNN, the rest of them). Some believe that because we have indeed a large Muslims population it’s quite convenient (cowardly?) to have far left politicians like Corbyn for Blightly or Melanchon in France blaming “far right” Israelis government for reckless and disproportionate use of force against civilians.

What I am even more worried about than rockets and strikes there right now is the lynching from both extremist Jewish and Arabs against random civilians and Bibi has spoken out about it.

“Civil war inside Israel” is the new thing, as said before in this thread; and IMO really eerie when you have Israelis citizens whether Arabs or Jews now beating each other up when they were capable to coexist since 2014.

Hizbulla is showing up bringing bad memories to IDF
That looks like a mk3?

And that is why the units they will deploy have Trophy Active Protection System now - will not stop IED but will give you a chance against ATGM

Expect more drone cover and Apache cover

But why risk your armour when you can pound them from mobile artillery - from the air and from the sea - day after day after day - eventually you will run out of martyrs

Do it from the air, maybe the israelis also have a few Carmel (unmanned APC/MICV) to play with.

Looks like a Magach 7C.

Sounds like Israel should target the source of those missiles.

The source of those rockets have missiles in its arsenal that would flatten Israel's entire critical infrastructure within hours.

Another wave of kamikaze drone attacks against Israeli targets:

Not had much luck with that yet - as soon as they have sorted out Hamas I am pretty sure Iran will be getting a few 'presents'

Sort out Hamas? They are still conducting rocket and drone attacks after days of aerial and artillery strikes. If you want to see how things will develop, try to look at what happened in 2006 against Hezbollah. Israel can't destroy these organizations, and soon as the conflict is over, Iran is going to fund their reconstruction and re-armament. In the meanwhile, with every year passing, more accurate and capable weaponry will pass into their ranks.

There is a reason why Israeli strategists are all crying out loud of desperation at the moment. They are being flanked from all sides by actors with potent weapons. And what is happening in Gaza will be child's play compared to what will happen if the northern front will lit up.
