A Polish Mig-29 from 22nd Tactical Air Base has allegedly been damaged by friendly fire in a training exercise on May 14. Citing military officials, Onet.pl reports that a pilot accidentally fired his fighter jet's cannon at his wingman, causing "repairable" damage to the aircraft. No one was injured in the incident at Nadazice, a polish military training area in Greater Poland. The cause of the accident is under investigation. (Source, Polish)

The aircraft lost contact with Bulgaria on June 9 and disappeared while conducting a military training mission at sea off the country's east coast.

A search and rescue operation was immediately launched to find the jet and its pilot, Major Valentin Terziev. One day after the plane's disappearance, Bulgaria's Defence Ministry confirmed that Terziev had been killed in the incident. :(

The wreckage of the plane, including parts of the engine and landing gear, was not discovered in the Black Sea until June 17.

On Thursday, Bulgarian Defence Minister Georgi Panayotov confirmed that authorities had also recovered the plane's "black box" and hoped it could provide information on how the plane crashed.

New tanks would be more than welcome but wouldn't 2A7s make more sense considering logistics? I am not sure on the price difference.

Serbian troops have been on a heightened state of alert after the government in Belgrade accused neighbouring Kosovo of “provocations” by sending special police units to the border.

Already tense relations between Serbia and its former breakaway region have grown worse since the ethnic Albanian-led government there despatched the police units to an area mainly populated by minority ethnic Serbs, who reject the authority of the government in Kosovo’s capital Pristina.

Police in self-proclaimed Kosovo say they have arrested 10 Albanian citizens for attacking ethnic Serbs. Ethnic tensions have escalated in the breakaway Serbian region, with Serbia, Russia and NATO getting involved.
The 10 Albanians were detained on Monday in the city of Mitrovica in northern Kosovo, after they attacked a group of Serbs visiting a government building on official business, the police reported. The city itself is predominantly Serb, but the incident happened in the southern part, which is overwhelmingly populated by ethnic Albanians.

I guess this is no longer an option now that the Greeks have struck a deal with the Frenchies?
