Australian soldiers will depart Darwin this week to join partner nations in the United Kingdom, providing critical training to Ukrainian recruits to support their national defence..
A contingent of up to 70 ADF personnel will deploy as part of ADF Op Kudu to assist with the UK-led and based training program.
The training conducted under this operation will generate additional capacity within the Armed Forces of Ukraine and will focus on basic infantry tactics for urban and wooded environments; helping Ukrainian recruits gain the military skills needed to defend their homeland.
No ADF personnel will enter Ukraine as part of the program.

2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment Queensland Mounted Infantry is an armoured combat regiment whose role is to locate, identify, destroy or capture the enemy, by day or night, in combination with other arms, using fire and manoeuvre.
The Royal Australian Armoured Corps (RAAC) units are able to participate in a range of operations, including direct attack, reconnaissance and armoured mobility to infantry. Units of the RAAC are equipped with the Abrams M1A1 main battle tank family of vehicles or the Australian Light Armoured Vehicle and Bushmaster protected mobility vehicle.

With the motto, The Tartan Terror, HMAS Stuart FFH 153 has successfully returned to the sea on 22 February 2023, having undocked after 101 weeks of production work in the BAE Henderson shipyard in Western Australia.

Coordinated through the Anzac System Program Office (Anzac SPO) and the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) Alliance, Stuart is the sixth of eight Anzac Class Frigates conducting the Anzac Mid-Life Capability Assurance Program (AMCAP), with another 20 weeks of work before she returns to sea as an upgraded Royal Australian Navy Warship."

About a thousand years ago I spent a couple of days in Timor with an ASLAV set up like this. The boys showed me how the MSTAR radar worked (ours was man portable), but it was the cameras that were the real stars of the show, day and night, brilliant.
