The Royal Australian Air Force recently joined United States Air Force and Royal Air Force counterparts under the Nevada sun for Exercises Red Flag Nellis 25-1 and Bamboo Eagle 25-1.
With a contingent of 429 aviators and 18 aircraft from RAAF, the exercises focused on large force employment across various scenarios, as well as long-range missions.
Led by the USAF's Air Combat Command, Exercise Red Flag Nellis is regarded as one of the world's pre-eminent air combat exercises, providing essential training experience for aviators.
Royal Australian Navy Anzac Class frigate HMAS Toowoomba has been busy, carrying out unit readiness continuation training at the ship’s home port of Fleet Base West, and in the surrounding waters of Western Australia.
Australian Army soldiers from the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, braved the elements and conducted a week of Jungle Warfare training in Tully, Queensland.
The training enhanced their understanding of operating in a jungle environment, where they concluded with platoon-level attacks for their final activity.
