After all of that magnificent modernisation It's a shame that ANZAC class MEKO-200 frigates possesing only a single Mk.41 8 cell VLS although they have enough space to install another one. In this way these ships would both armed with 32x ESSM (4 per tube) for the first and 8x SM-II Block 3 SAM for second unit that Aussies already have for Hobart Class AAW Destroyer which would drastically increase the aerial defense capabilities of the ships since they received CEAFAR APAR radar with detection range that allows to fire them.

Here you can see the space reserved for the second Mk.41 8 cell VLS just next to the first one unit but not yet installed somehow.

Good call there @DENO but I have no doubt the RAN's are the old standby of "fitted for but not with" which dogged my generation of ships in the 80's. We have a history of fitting the vessels with just enough capability to get the job done and have the expertise needed for the operation of the systems. If/when the need arises (as in Gulf 1 & 2) the ships are taken in hand and new kit and upgraded systems are crammed in. IMHO is not the way it should be done but it's how our politicians keep the costs down

Beat me to the age old ADF custom of fitted for, not with.
Well I guess its better than the NZDF, Not fitted for or with but will pay double in the long run getting it added once it has become obsolete

Video from Hanwha, put up by DTR magazine showing the Redback with a prototype EOS T2000 turret system (without the final Australian sensor integration) doing some mobility and integration stuff in Israel.

Has some internal footage and shows a crew member using Iron Vision system and helmet to aim the main gun by turning his head. Getting close to trials now, first two Redback in Aus sometime this month, third one in November.

I see you've played knifey spoony before.

Went on to start a business called Tacmed, with a heap of other SOF and ADF medics.

I guess it would be same as with shooting a conventional gun

Minister for Defence Linda Reynolds and Defence Industry Minister Melissa Price have announced the request for tender to locally-build 30 self-propelled howitzers as part of the Protected Mobile Fires project.

The request for tender will be released to preferred supplier Hanwha Defence Australia, to build and maintain 30 self-propelled howitzers and 15 armoured ammunition resupply vehicles, and their supporting systems.

The Huntsman SPH is a 50 tonne, 52 calibre, 155mm platform capable of taking advantage of current and emerging 155mm munitions technologies. It has a crew of four or five depending on the configuration with an ammunition capacity of up to 48 rounds and accompanying modular charge systems.

The Kongsberg ODIN Fire Control System which sits within the broader Kongsberg Integrated Combat System allows passage of information to the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) forming the core of the C4I system. The AS10 AARV is a largely robotised system built on the same chassis as the K9.

It holds 104 rounds of 155mm ammunition and is used to provide ammunition resupply under armour and forward to the Artillery unit.

Nice looking system. Both the Huntsmans wagons (AS-9 & 10) are based off the K-21 which the AS-21 Redback was also developed from. I wonder if this will add more weight to the Redback offering over the Lynx for the Land 400 Phase 3 IFV project.
