With the tracks of his tank, the driver-mechanic Senior Sergeant Andrey Davydov destroyed 3 guns with crews, two kitchens and up to 40 Nazis.

In the Red Army since November 1932. Since June 1942, he commanded the 299th Infantry Division, which, as part of the 66th Army, participated in the Battle of Stalingrad. From May 1943 - commander of the 13th Guards Rifle Division. Participant of the Battle of Kursk, the Battle of the Dnieper, Umansko-Botoshansk and Lvov-Sandomierz offensive operations. Major General G.V. Baklanov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 29, 1945 for his skillful leadership of the troops in the battles for Dresden and displayed heroism. At the 1945 Victory Parade, he commanded the combined regiment of the 1st Ukrainian Front.
