During the deployment, HMAS Perth III performed border protection duties as part of Operation Resolute and participated in Exercise LaPerouse, a multinational exercise with IndoPacific regional partners.
Perth conducted surveillance and response in the nation’s maritime approaches, in addition to logistics visits to Darwin and Singapore that allowed crew members to explore new places and enjoy some respite.
 
Australian Air Force's 2 Security Forces Squadron navigated jungle terrain as part of jungle warfighting training in Tully Training Area, Queensland.

The team completed a range of activities pertinent to the defence of an airfield in close terrain through the Army’s combat training wing and jungle training wing at the Tully training area.
 
Over 1,500 Australin Army troops were put to the test to conduct stability, security and evacuation operations, including a patrol and urban assault against a simulated enemy as part of Exercise Brolga Run at Townsville Field Training Area.

Exercise Global Dexterity is designed to develop the bilateral tactical airlift and airdrop capabilities of Austrlian Air Force and US Air Force. Both rely on the C-17A to provide strategic and tactical airlift across the Indo-Pacific region, with its ability to provide short-notice and time-critical airlift support making it essential during humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.

Maybe it's now a case of now that anyone can do it, not many want to.

If it's anything like our Air Force they are grown by guys who 1. Look 12 yrs old 2. Have no chin 3. Have too many chins or 4. thinks it will make someone mistake them for an "Operator"
 
The Australian Air Force deployed C-27J Spartan aircraft and personnel from RAAF Base Amberley to participate in Exercise Ready Spartan Prove and test their tactical readiness to plan, deploy and fly missions at short notice.

It was a fast-moving exercise, with C-27J Spartan pilot Flying Officer Brianna Hawkins challenged but pleased with the seamless integration involving other ADF units. Crews were put through a number of scenarios in the aircraft’s light tactical fixed wing role, with additional simulated threats, increasing in complexity.

The training exercise aimed to improve the battalion's foundational readiness and enhance their competency in combat behaviours in preparation for Exercise Talisman Sabre 2023.
 
Cultana Training Area, SA was left battered and bruised after 1st Armoured Regiment’s Exercise Paratus Walk. Combat teams went through their paces undertaking gunnery training, as well as collective training across ASLAVs, PMV-Ls, M113 AS4, and M1A1 Abrams.

Members from 7th Brigade units took part in chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defence training at Gallipoli Barracks, Brisbane, in May. Heavy machinery including a Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle and HX77 Truck towing a M777 Howitzer were put through an equipment decontamination medium system at the 2nd Combat Engineer Regiment compound.

I'm pretty sure it was the participants who would've been left battered and bruised (and likely dented and broken) after bouncing around there.
 
My one exercise there was in January and February, temps hovered in the high 40s, it was like working on the surface of the Sun.

No. 2 Security Forces Squadron are ready for Exercise Talisman Sabre 23.
Personnel conducted Exercised Nomad Walk 2023 as part of a pathway to Talisman Sabre. The training activity explored and tested the execution of a centralised Base Defence Coordination Centre (BDCC) and, where able, integration with other Base security elements.
The development of the BDCC and quick reaction force concepts is a key outcome of the exercise, as well as field testing the integration of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance technology to create a Common Operating Picture.

As part of Exercise Sea Explorer 2023, Australian Army soldiers conducted Wet and Dry Environment Rehearsals off of HMAS Adelaide. The Australian Amphibious Force (AAF) practiced the landing of forces ashore – ensuring the AAF is ready to project forces wherever and whenever required.
