In 1944, a powerful and light airborne gun ChK-M1 with a caliber of 37 mm was created. The military liked the weapon, but the native wheels of the gun were only suitable for rolling over positions, and were no longer suitable for towing. A non-standard decision was made - to put the gun on the motorcycle. A Harley Davidson motorcycle was chosen as the vehicle and was preferred for its exceptional power. The result is a full-fledged self-propelled artillery installation - a moto-ACS. The motorcycle was not only a means of transporting a gun, the gun could fire on the move. The gun crew was equipped with two motorcycles for each gun. One housed a gun, gunner, loader and driver. On the second - the commander, the carrier of the shells and the driver. After the war, the ChK-M1 gun and, accordingly, the moto-self-propelled guns were abandoned in favor of light, low-ballistic recoilless guns with cumulative rounds and RPGs.
