Back in my days we expressed our teen anger by locking ourselves in our rooms and listen loud music, turned emo sometimes. We didn't care about anything. Today's kids interaction with society by wasting all brain energy they have on inventing false komplexity about everything, educating their parents in academic scale, launching crusades on tiktok.

That is because those kids have been trained to the attention span of their next twitter or telegram message where everybody and their dog will comment on their trivial problems and offer a gazillion advices they read somewhere on the interwebs. So when the real world is different and there is no obvious solution in sight, it becomes scary and RL needs to be adjusted to get even more online feedback.

Dinklage's take strikes me as asinine. It's as daft as the aforementioned claim that orcs are just stand-ins for black people. The dwarves of mythology – which are rooted in Norse religion, by the way – aren't identical with growth-restricted humans, nor are they generally seen as such by the media-consuming public. No one who's ever watched Lord of the Rings has pointed at Dinklage and went "Look, it's one of them!"
