The writer of this article, Char Adams is a GOON! This incident was not due to "racism", maybe a failure of the landlord or property manager and MOST likely the tenants themselves. Though not due to skin pigmentation! (this is not 1922!)
1. I request the cities inspection logs on this building. When had it been inspected last? What were the discrepancies at the time?
2. Did the inspector follow up on the recommendations for repair? Was the property owner fined for failure to make the repairs, hhmm?

Sorry for mischaracterizing the candy variety. I did originally see that they are not wine gums, so my joke was off tangent a bit.

So my favorites as far as what I've tried in the clear chewy "haribo" and adjacent type are the American Jujy Fruits and I also like a bit of Jujubee every once in a blue moon. Chewier and stickier than wine gums, haribo, etc....

Licorice is a totally different beast, IMO, but I do hope they leave Bertie alone!
