Apparently a dispute between neighbors about a hedge, one reportedly said to the other "you're such a Leonard".
The other then called the police, told them it got called a "Leonard" and that he deemed that homophobic.

Okay, but why? Setting aside the sheer insanity of reporting that to the police (and the police acting on it), what does that even mean: "You're such a Leonard"? I'm so confused.

I have absolutely no idea.
Perhaps the guy was named Leonard, and there is that kind of taunt based on "you are such a *insert name of the person" to imply *persons with that name* tend to behave in a way relevant to the situation.
As in: the name fits the behavior and such.
I think that guy Leonard is nothing but a moron and would still be one if he was named something else.

Call me cynical, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't suffer a crash with that ridiculous campaign. Jaguars aren't built for average people who're already fed up with that woke nonsense. They're built for post-materialist types who have enough money to espouse insanity.
In that sense, I wasn't all that surprised. In fact, from a marketing standpoint it was probably more risky to change the logo than to espouse the woke. The old logo was very recognisable, the new one might as well belong to a shampoo or a bank.
Ok, now this is spicy, police department says transwoman officers can search woman... Until a natural woman, I hate the term 'cis', is to be searched, and I'll bet my pension she, the real one, not the pretend one, will object. And, what happens when a transwoman needs to be searched, will he insist a natural woman does it. Or accept the pretender because the department said it is ok.

What the indigenous and the UN ignore is that the first settlers many starved and absolutely relied on British subsidies. Basic flour was supplied.
