U.S Marines take cover behind sandbags during an engagement with KPA forces in a Korean town, 1953
The US Marine Corp museum in Quantico VA (D.C.) has an exact life size recreation of this scene in it's walking tour of the Corp battle scenes except on the other side of the sand bags angled against the building is a USMC LVT tracked vehicle. The scene is so authentic even the posters & writing and glass is the same on the building!
 
So many museums to see in DC area but I'll add the USMC Museum to the never ending to-do list. Thanks for the info @uktabber.
YES, this is one that is a REQUIRED visit, it's one of the best you'll see in that town!! Just wait till you walk in the doors...you'll need padding under your chin when your jaw drops--stunning, just stunning!!
 
Ah-Chim-Hai was a Mongolian chestnut mare, purchased by 2nd Lt Eric Pedersen for $250 at Seoul race track during the Korean War in 1952. Pedersen was CO of the Recoilless Rifle Platoon, Antitank Company, 5th Marine Regiment who needed a horse to help carry ammunition
