Holy mother of God... I thought the season 2 was seriously awesome, but this looks like they take it to a whole other level. It actually looks more and more as a prequel to Expanse.
@Jake84 might remember the atrocious "into the night" Interestingly, the plot has been developed by a Turkish director and involves oceanologists who find refuge on a turkish navy submarine with some interesting subplots and much more interesting characters (apart from the oceanologists who belong to the woke/male model category to the level of feeling nauseous).
Incomparably better than the west european version owith 100% cretineous characters and that useless and grotesque second season.

I was amazed that James Earl Jones still managed to pull off the Vader voice at the fine age of 91, but a bit of digging shows that they just used his original voice as the pattern for new dialogue created using Respeecher. Probably a good call as it'd be a crime to have Vader sounding like a frail old codger as Patrick Stewart does in Picard.
Just saw "Reacher" on Amazon Prime TV. Just slightly woke in the beginning, and two odd children having another colour than their parents. Apart from this, ok fighting scenes and nice actors doing their best. We even had a plot and some suspence.
Considering your impressions and that of others I know, I'm pretty much an outlier on Darth Vader in this series. Although keeping an open mind, I'm basically not too thrilled with it.
Correct me if I'm wrong but looking at the timeline, there's about 7-8 years before Leia smuggles the plans of the Death Star, and Luke meets Obi Wan face to face. This line of the current story might run 2yr? The Obi Wan from A New Hope doesn't appear to be one who's been living a lone ascetic lifestyle for only a short 4-6 years.
Despite the success of The Mandalorian, the formerly "protected" Star Wars Universe seems to have been turned into a cash cow, and is probably now approaching over saturation. We'll see how it goes.
After several months of hiatus from Netflix, I just started watching Better Call Saul season 6 (wow..!) and it’s still captivating.
I wasn’t expecting less, but mad respect to their directors for keeping me interested for so long.
Also have noticed Stranger Things season 4 available, and will watch too. Heard of it mainly because of Kate Bush « Running up that hill » that the youth of today (hence born past 2000) never heard before.
Wife has started up "Life" again, and I'm also watching it over her shoulder while doing computer things and the dishes. So very good. Damian Lewis, Sarah Shahi, one of the Arkins......

Yes, I do remember some bits of it, but as my MI.Net pseudonym indicates, I was just 6 year old when the 1980s chapter was closed.
Fond memories of my youth nonetheless, but I have to be honest and say that I mostly grew up in the 90s, right before the cellphone/internet golden age…
Since we’re in the series thread let’s focus on it but ER (The series taking place in Chicago then), some Mr. Bean regarding UK television or even Benny hill was all good fun.
Germans had their own stuff like Ein Fall für Zwei and Derrick but even though it made it to France and successfully so, I doubt the UK general population ever heard of it.
