Not all that surprising, the coastal areas of California with the major cities are extreme leftists while in the interior there already were some more rural areas where Republicans were making gains and they seemingly stepped further towards the Republicans this election.

My conjecture Chaz, clearly some are, others false prophets of Ba'al. Who could not (or refused) to see the denigration of the U.S. Constitution. They are activists that have adopted the Marxists-Leninist mindset.
