Iconic South Australian wine brand Penfolds to launch 'made in China' vintage in effort to skirt Chinese tariffs

Penfolds parent company Treasury Wine Estates will release its first "made in China" vintage to the domestic market later this year.

It is interesting that Penfolds are willing to kowtow to the CCP so they can get easier access to the Chinese market. It is all about the profit.

An Australian company selling out to the Chinese for the sake of making more money who would of thunk it? I think the CCP have.

The company said it had found "promising characteristics" in grapes sourced from Ningxia, in China's central-north, and Shangri-la in the south-western Yunnan province.

Chief Executive Officer Tim Ford said the move represented Treasury Wine's "commitment to China." Translation. Commitment to accessing the Chinese market because there is a metric f*ckton of money to be made.

China wants 10 small Pacific nations to endorse a sweeping agreement covering everything from security to fisheries in what one leader warns is a “game-changing” bid by Beijing to wrest control of the region. A draft of the agreement obtained by The Associated Press shows that China wants to train Pacific police officers, team up on “traditional and non-traditional security" and expand law enforcement co-operation. China also wants to jointly develop a marine plan for fisheries – which would include the Pacific's lucrative tuna catch – increase co-operation on running the region's internet networks, and set up cultural Confucius Institutes and classrooms. China also mentions the possibility of setting up a free trade area with the Pacific nations.

Wang is visiting seven of the countries he hopes will endorse the “Common Development Vision” – the Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, and Papua New Guinea.

New Zealand has been a long term member of the Five eyes. They committed the NZ SAS to operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I would argue that the definition of trolling is posting inflammatory comments with the hope of getting a reaction. I just posted a news article from a mainstream media outlet. It's probably just an opinion article.
