“I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform. “Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!”

Trump begging to Russia, being ignored by China... never knew I would see America simp so hard. Pull out of the deal already and just leave Ukraine to itself in the Europeans, this is just getting embarrassing.

I started killing all the bugs I see, to help with either Patton, Eisenhower or Nimitz be reincarnated as quickly as possible.
Your friends in China are in panic mode. They are spending billions of USD per day buying up Yuan to keep the funny money from collapsing and paying billions of dollars per day in tariffs so they can keep factories open, keep their population from starving - literally, and avoid a popular uprising. Ignore? Not a chance.

As far as Ukraine goes, there is a workable deal on the table. The parties will accept it or not accept it. Ukraine has no means to take Crimea. I wish they could, but it is, what it is. NATO was never going to happen for Ukraine. Never.

So if the parties don't agree to peace, that's, that. The war goes on and Europe will do what it does about it.

The attack on Kyiv this morning says it all.

I don't know how this can be done, to many bad precedents set here.

Totally unacceptable.

Its like letting the aggravator still hit the victim in court.

This should show you Ruzzia strong power - you see were this is going.

Ruzzia does not accept anything only force.

They broke all earlier treaties, better clear it this time.

Good thing is that Russia totally lacks the industrial base for anything more complicated than a T72.

They can build drones but you can't conquer with drones. You need feet on the ground.

Ukraine needs to stand firm to keep the Russians out.
Aye, air superiority is great and wonderful but you need foot soldiers with that.

All these drones will make us lazy I imagine.

Residents of Kyiv began to publish episodes of a massive attack by Russian missiles on objects in the city on the night of April 24. As reported, Russian Iskander missiles, Kalibr missiles, and Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles were used for the attack. It is worth noting that the video does not show the operation of the MIM-104 Patriot air defense system and other air defense systems; perhaps the Ukrainian army has a shortage of these missiles. A video from a Kharkov resident is also shown, showing Russian missile strikes on the Ukrainian Malyshev Transport Engineering Plant in Kharkov. According to Ukrainian media, there are dead and wounded.

The only one begging for that phone to ring across the Pacific is Trump. Just look at admins presscon versus China.

As for this war... just a concerning thought, as I'm pretty sure there will be hawks in the Armed Forces, and we are seeing some cracks on the silence of the US Armed Forces. What would be the chances of a Coup? There were weak presidents before, but I've never seen one go side with Russia and burn up the alliances made over the years.

Then again Trump is still popular enough for anyone to act up on it.

A coup on Trump? Wishful thinking on your end, but zero chance of that. I'd be more worried about Xi.

Lots of whispers behind the scenes. If this all goes south, like in the next 90 days, I could see him being taken down by the military, which has a pretty hawkish faction with itchy trigger fingers lately. We'll see. Unlike the US and Europe, there is no safety net in China. When people don't work, they'll get hungry. When people get hungry, things happen. Hopefully it won't come to that. But the pressure is definitely on China. Like Bessent said, China is holding a pair of 2s.

Regarding Ukraine, as far as I can tell...this is the first time in 3+ years that there is any talk of peace, negotiations for peace or a peace plan on the table. But, you guys are too blinded by TDS to appreciate it. Like Trump started this war or something.

What Putin really wants is Crimea and no NATO membership. It could be a good plan for Ukraine. I'd say Zelensky is finished afterwards, though. But Ukraine has a chance to be developed and be wealthy, post-war. And I mean wealth for the actual people and country, not just a handful of corrupt oligarchs.

But, I get it. Trump is involved so no one here even wants to consider peace or a peace plan. It should all be dismissed. Ukraine can fight on and with enough support from it's European neighbors, will retake Crimea and then on to Moscow!!!

Anyhoo, I'm pretty sure both sides are exhausted and want peace. I'm pretty sure Europe won't spend billions or trillions supporting Ukraine if all fails. And I am damned certain that the last thing Europe wants is to defend a Ukraine in NATO, if it's not boys and girls from Kansas and Texas spilling their blood.

I think something positive will happen soon. All of you whiners had better hope so, or it'll be your asses on the line, if the US walks away.

Cheers.

If and its a pretty big if, that was going to happen, it would have been between the election and the swearing in. You declare him unfit, illegal, etc.

I think there was talk in the 70's in the UK, that the army would oust the Labour government, but as we had governments falling every 12-18 months, it never happened.

I'm not reading that there is a huge % of yanks unhappy with how its going. There might be a very vocal liberal trans crowd doing there thing, but its not a coup. I think the BBC had someone on, and asked the same question, because of a few protesters somewhere in USA.

Coup would come if there was millions on the streets, then someone has the job of telling the leader that they cannot effectively govern.

And I expect if it goes well, that there will be a good % of UK, and European voters wondering who will do what they said they would do, at the next elections. The liberal decade, fueled by cheap products from china, cheap money, is coming to an end, everyone -inc Chinese, Yanks Europeans now want good healthcare, safety etc. The 'cost' of allowing the lunatic fringe to have an equal say in running the country is coming to an end. 'For the greater good' or for the majority - i.e. law abiding, tax paying workers, is coming back around.

Ukraine, clearly no-one is willing to push russia out. Stepping outside of any peace deal, what that means is Russia's neighbours digging in, border defenses, buying top quality nukes from Pakistan/N Korea, and not trading with Russia.

If Ukraine gets back some land from Russia, then the sanctions will have to be dropped as part of the deal - no-one has to like that, but it will happen. To encourage us to then buy Russian gas in Europe, there will be a tax going to Ukraine. Outside of that, I dont think there is much Russia actually makes, maybe firewood, or toothpicks, that we could boycott.

For China, they are trying to get their own circular economy going, which will mitigate some of the Trump issues, but in reality China has built up the ability to supply a huge % of the worlds manufacturing needs. we can probably survive without a new patio set, or a new Iphone, China will try and survive, but it will be difficult for them. This will lead to some shortages in USA and EU while everyone adjusts, but not everything was made in china, and if India or Vietnam was making it, then we have the $$ to push to the front of the queue.

Very true! There's a lot of trash talk on the news right now and mention of very unfavorable to Trump polls. This is nothing more than the usual suspects doing what they did pre-election = talk sh!t in the most unfavorable way about Trump. Didn't work then - won't work now.

Is Trump perfect? Oh, hail no! But he's addressing issues he said he would unlike Joe the dotard whose main achievement was being able to recite 26 flavors of ice cream without stammering.

The attempted "coup" has been ongoing for years. Every organ of power has attempted to impeach him, indict him, sue him, imprison him, bankrupt him, disqualify him and even kill him, What a tough motherfvcker. And after surviving all of that, wins an election in a FREAKING LANDSLIDE! And as you say, he still commands the support of the American People, (which is all that matters), to the consternation of many of our members here, who might be better served getting their own houses in order.

A workable peace plan is on the table. Many of the Ukrainian War X accounts I follow, are of the impression, real or imagined, that if Trump would just stop cockblocking Ukraine for another 30 days, Ukrainian tanks would be crashing the gates of the Kremlin. They are literally delusional idiots who appeal to other delusional idiots.

Sadly most Coup attempts never happen with the full or majority support of the population. Majority of Coup attempts are done by a small group of officers who kinda have a messianic complex that believes the "way of life" is being thrown out the window. This is why a hawkish armed forces is always something to watch out for. Specially when a civilian government is throwing its advantage away.

As for China, the Chinese Armed Forces was created to protect the government and not its people. With a stronger propaganda machinery, they will hurt but coup attempts or over throw will most likely not happen. As an example, a few years back there was a military drill in Shanghai... which was weird. Most realized later it was Beijing sending a message to the Business men of Shanghai who was in charge of the state.

Again, for Ukraine, show me a proper peace plan with the US backing the victim of this war and I will start believing the US really wants peace. Right now, the US offer is Ukraine capitulation, and that means the US has an agenda. Let the Ukrainians decide, they know what would happen if the US backs down, so if they believe that its the way to go let them. Trump has been telling it would walk away, walk away already.

This is what concession is for Trump:
Moscow, he said, has already made a substantial concession by not “taking the whole country.”

“Stopping the war,” he said, is a “pretty big concession.”

The only ones withe the TDS here are the supporters of Trump who turn a blind eye on the S**t he has pulled.
