Well none of the old Nato countries will have it. Just the former USSR and Finland maybe. Just depends if they made it themselves and still have the tooling. I mean its literally not rocket science, but UK for example only has one munitions filling factory now, in Cheshire, so capacity is limited. I guess they want 155 A because it would imply more modern equipment, and it would allow use of current stocks in NATO and anywhere else they can get it.

I would be loathe to not give Ukraine whatever they want/need.... let NATO work out the costs but in the meantime, as we seem to have reached a lull in the festivities, I would like to see Ukraine better prepared and in better positions than the Russians, when things start to heat up again.

But no, now they literally want to go all in, tank v tank etc. So even though they have been met with savage resistance, and those at the top now know this, they STILL want to have another go. You have to question the mental situation of the leaders in this.

So yes, I would literally provide everything Ukraine wants. There should be no problem sending the older LEo2 and Abrams, and if they want them 100 challenger 2's from the UK. If other countries still have T72 etc, then yes these would be easier to use, but the old NATO countries should not hide behind the newer ones, on this issue.

I love all the games set in Russia, @HAL9000 mentioned Stalker, love it - AS A MAKEBELIEVE f***ing GAME! Not in reality, and this is what Russia has created in the areas it invaded.

does Ukraine need both 152 and 155? is it all just in storage or is it still being manufactured?

Ukraine has hundreds of 152 mm guns
But its shell factory could produce around 14-15K shells / year (that's it, during peace time)
Let's say (very very conservative number) around 500 tubes
You end up with 30 shells by tube produced / year
30 shells for high intensity warfare is very low
The neighbor provided all what they had in152mm but they don't have anymore themselves
While there is plenty of 155 mm stockpile and prod capabilities are bigger (it is a NATO standard afterall, could be produced anywhere from USA to Israel to France, UK, Germany and whatnot)
