We keep getting messages like this: “I don't recommend sharing footage of TB2 shooting Russians. It will harm Turkey”
Why would it hurt? Turkey is a country that sells UAVs to 18 countries. Our soldier has been killed by Russian made AK-47, RPG-7, PKM etc for 40 years...
Everyone loves taking out a sexy tank - but the Russians are running short of trucks. One truck can make 3 trips per 24 hours on a 40km advance. Kill the trucks and everything stops.
If they want their Kyiv column to be turned into Highway of Death 2.0 by aircraft they never saw coming then sure, attack targets inside NATO member territory. First the F-35s take the AD, then the Reapers, A-10s and Apaches move in along with anything bigger that happens to be in the area.
The Black Sea fleet would cease to exist right around the same time.
This is one of the main reasons why imo the Russians held back significant formations early on. Putin feared getting hit in the flank by a NATO attack and wanted to preserve his best equipped troops for a worst case scenario.
Triggering Art. 5 would make that scenario a reality, but with most of that reserve already engaged after a disappointing opening stage of the war. Russia has nothing to gain by doing this.
The equipment and intel will cause additional casualties for the Russians until they wrap up combat operations, but the alternative involves getting chased back to the Russian border with the USAF on their tail. And in that situation that's the most positive outcome imaginable for everyone involved.
