This is for the best. Europe should take their defense seriously even if it wasn't for the Russia Ukraine war.

I just hope that not too great a percent gets wasted or siphoned off.
A sizeable percentage of any money invested needs to go to increasing industrial output rather than orders. Money spent on equipment that'll be delivered by 2030 at the earliest because it's being produced at a rate of 12 a year is useless.

Trucks and light armoured vehicles can be built in or from existing truck factories, most of the big companies have a 4x4 option.

Tanks and tracked ifv, the bigger countries need to build one factory each, and ramp up engine and drive unit production.

Not rocket science. And bin 50% of the green targets, solar on most houses yes, closing coal, oil and gas power stations, no. We should have a diverse supply, so we are not reliant totally on imports, or specific regions etc.

Shouldn’t really need to spell that out.

Would cancel that order and buy Rafales with ASMP.

US is deactivating satellite imagery for Ukraine.

Would also deactivate our defenses as we are provoking Putler with increased defence spending.

I mean thats a good basis for peace letting the attacked down and having much understanding for the agressor party which just contiues to massively bombard.

This "peace" plan is a joke and will lead to nothing.

Russia is not interested in peace except for Ukraines unconditional surrender or a US instigated "regime" change and puppet state installation.

So far no road map nor what is expected from each party was presented.

But we know what Russia wants and Trump is helping them with his one sided approach.

There must be some serious evaluation beforehand to not waste on outdated systems.

A more modern flexible defense.

I would put most emphasys on:

Drones large and small in all versions from a AI loitering munitions to deep penetrating high tech large drones.

EW systems and hardened network centric communications.

Strategic missiles - we have none

Tactic missiles - only Himars but would. advise to buy PULS from Israel

Mobile artillery

IFVs with Drone protection

Nuclear weapons

Massive increase in aerial delivery munitions to saturate enemy in case he wants to denazify us.

Satelite based coms like starlink. Europe is getting Iris with 1000mps upload compared to Starlinks 250.

And a large Early Warning capacity and massive AD systems deployment.

For a start....

Ukraine’s strong-hold on Kursk is collapsing. Of course it goes against the Ukro-bot narrative to report such inglorious occurrences. 🤣

That said, a counteroffensive of this size is no small endeavor. This very likely shows that Russia knew before hand that Trump was cutting off intelligence to Ukraine.
Trump is full-on Kremlin. Yikes.

Edit: I would not be that suprised if the Trump administration provided intelligence TO Russia

Grok thinks Trump is compromised by the KGB/FSB.

Can someone explain the logic of cutting off the victim from support while sweet talking the agressor?

The Ruzzians now feel even more emboldened to threat everyone.

Is that the envisaged peaceful future?

Thanks but no thanks

Grok turned against its boss, so the boss started curbing it.

An episode of combat work in Ukraine, the Russian 152-mm self-propelled howitzer 2S5 "Giatsint-S". The self-propelled howitzer "Giatsint-S" is located in a semi-underground camouflaged shelter. The artillery unit fires at a stronghold of the Ukrainian army in one of the villages. At the end of the video, the crew of the 2S5 artillery unit reports what targets they managed to hit in Ukraine. The self-propelled howitzer 2S5 "Giatsint-S" was developed in the USSR and accepted into service in 1976. The firing range of the self-propelled howitzer 2S5 "Giatsint-S" is up to 41 km.
