All things considered, Kellogg seems like a good pick.

I'm still baffled by Trump's picking Tulsi Gabbard, though. Her narrative that this war could've been avoided had Biden agreed to Russia's 2021's demands is mind-blowingly naïve and displays a stunning lack of foresight.

I like Kellogg a lot. He is a patriot and not one of those flashy former Generals. He's a quiet, humble man who gets the job done. I like Tulsi as well, but her confirmation may be an uphill battle.

Frankly? She deserves such scrutiny and more. If what she tweeted back in the day was just anti-Biden-polemics – oh well. But if she really meant Biden should've agreed to virtually expell all post-1997-NATO members, then she's the wrong woman for the job.

Gabbard should know that as a policy-maker, she can't control what America's enemies read into her policies and that her policies must be adjusted to how they're being perceived in order to produce the desired results. If her policies are going to make America look weak, Gabbard's thinking otherwise is irrelevant.

Even if she thinks NATO has become useless and that America would be better off outside, it's not going to change the fact the rest of the world sees NATO as an American invention and American tool of power projection. And I daresay no alliance in the history of alliances has ever allowed an external rival (particularly a weaker one) to dictate who gets to be a member of the alliance and who doesn't.

Giving in to Russia's demands would've been akin to negotiating with terrorists. It would've been an almost unique display of weakness and invited other governments to try and push America around. And even though America is virtually bound to emerge victorious from such power struggles, why even go there for no reward?

Gabbard was advocating for appeasing Putin. But as General Kellogg rightly said on Fox: Putin only respects strength. And the same goes for Xi. Their mindset is not transactional, they're all about symbols. And they look down on the West for our refusal to put the value of symbols above money or human lives.

What a shitty plan. For the well commented reasons.

So after Putler tried everything to assault his predestined victims but failed due to Ukraines spectacular self defense, he shall be rewarded?

Because that's what it is essentially. Lifting sanctions now when they start biting.

Remember with whom you"re dealing here.

Yes he gets de demonized uh. He demonized himself and he spouts threats all the time. Just by reading this I get a little seizure.

A simple example would be to give a ruthless murder "incentives" not to murder anymore. And to not demonize him and let him back to the table instead of suffering the consequences.

Utterly naive and dangerous.

Hey invite ol Kim too and Assad to give them some incentives aswell.

The Ukrainians showed it multiple times that they don’t know how to use M1s. A few months ago, the Americans told them not to use these tanks to attack the RuZZians.
We have seen many videos with the Ukrainians using Bradleys effectively, on the other hand, but several of these videos showed the Ukrainians not having used them properly. For example, shooting at RuZZian IFVs at point-blank range is against any U.S. procedures and it’s plainly idiotic. It is like using a Tiger tank to approach a T-34 and shooting at the latter from the distance of 10m.

Speaking of HIMARses, they are useless without ammunition.
I don’t know where you got these 200 from if the Americans had about 500 of them in 2022, while some of them have already been donated to Ukraine. I don’t think the Americans would keep something like 40% of their HIMARSes in Europe.
Not only this, but 500 Abrams or Leos would not change the course of war. They need infantry urgently, along with other hardwares & equipment as well.

I've been talking about it for months.

I listened to an interview with a Ukrainian soldier who had been fighting against the Orcs for 2 years before he got injured and got to Poland to rehabilitate.
You cannot accuse the guy of being pro-RuZZian, as he had a good job in Poland, but he volunteered to fight against the Orcs right in February 2022.
He made the following points:
i. The comedian won the elections promising to end the war with RuZZia in 3 days. I mean the war that started in 2014.
ii. He cut the expenses on the Ukrainian Army, relocating these funds to improve Ukrainian roads and build new ones.
iii. Before the war started, the Ukrainians had a good defence against the RuZZian troops on the Crimean front. The exit routes are the Chonhar bridge and the isthums near Armyansk that is 2-3km wide. Both of them were heavily mined and defended and the Orcs while crossing them could have been sitting ducks in these choking points. However, the comedian ordered to remove the mines and withdraw the Ukrainian troops from there before the war started. As you could see, the Orcs made the best progress there in February 2022 despite experiencing the most difficult terrain.
iv. The comedian also ordered to redeploy the bulk of Ukrainian troops from Kharkiv to Donbas right before the war started. However, Zaluzhny ignored his order and that's only why the Ukrainians were able to win the battle of Kharkiv.
v. The guy used to love his country, and lost his health fighting for its independence, while he doesn't want to go back there again after having seen how many resources have been stolen and how many government officials have become millionaires by stealing money.

Maybe I am old school but to me the use of armor with no proper air cover is a major disadvantage.

Lets be honest. there would be statemens like this in almost every war for 2nd-3rd world countries.
Not saying corruption is not there anymore but I remember seeing a documentary from 60 minutes (i think) where this ukranian politician lady admitted that lots of military hardware where diverted but now everything is registered and she`s the responsible for this inventory. Cant really remember the doc. but sounded pretty truthful to me. The US would not tolerate that kind of deviation and would cease help if it was still going on like it was in the beginning of the war.

They need AT LEAST one Bataillon for a counter-offense trying to recover one small town, with full military hardware and air support (mostly drones), jammers and mine cleaners before sending one tank to shoot randomly like a sitting duck. This is not what we see in the videos and the reason is: they dont have the equipment, neither the man for this.

More footage has been published of the attack of the Russian FPV drone "Prince Vandal Novgorodsky" on the Ukrainian tank "Leopard-2A6", made in Germany. The Leopard 2A6 tank began to be produced in Germany in 1997. Ukraine received 18 Leopard 2A6 tanks from Germany and 3 tanks from Portugal. According to some estimates, 11 Leopard-2A6 tanks have been destroyed so far. In Ukraine, the Leopard-2A6 tank was modified by installing Soviet dynamic protection "Kontakt-1". The video was filmed in the Kursk region of Russia near the village of Darino. The Leopard 2A6 tank was attacked by several Vandal drones, the crew abandoned the damaged tank

Groföz Putler needs to retake Kursk before Trumps inauguration.

To present himself as much verrry powerrrful Razzia to the US audience.

The little gangster paradise longs for nothing as much as being feared again by real superpowers.

Just to S**t into the living room again when invited mark my words.

That society is lost and must be kept at arms length or neutralized in a way that it doesn't want to "wake up" again.

Economic destruction is the way to go for that.

And protect Western spheres of influence with massive conventional power ready to hit Russia on a brims notice shall it have hunger again.

All else is procrastination and leaving the S**t in the east for future generations to solve... inevitably.

I don't get the fear of a Russian collapse. They already collapsed once and noone cared or was affected seriously.

Is this really a serious offer come on let's get over with this and be friends again?

Making such offers has elements of let's say fraternization.

But it can happen if they end it and leave Ukrainian territories and pay compensation to the sufferings of Ukraine.

The only possibility.

If not Ukraine needs weapons to consistently inflict mass casualties on the Russians in their staging areas as well as means to hunt their CIC centers.

Lifting sanctions for a ceasefire is an absolute no go.

"Suppe selber auslöffeln" and such as we say in Germany.

Russia is on the brink of not being able to shoulder all this, as can be seen by their allies not getting any help.

Total wrong moment to remove pressure from them.

The rouble can't get over the 0.09 margin again despite the gov. buying them. Not even worth a € cent anymore.

To the contrary more sanctions where it really hurts until they fully crash.

As I said before many holes still to close.
