Are you being serious?
There is a small but nice difference between ‘I will end the war in no time’ and ‘my government will end the war as quickly as possible’. I realise that not every leader takes on every part of the policy themselves. But it also doesn't suit his inflated ego to admit that he may have been a little too full of himself. But hardly anyone makes as many promises that are not fulfilled afterwards as Trump. And on this particular issue, the world is looking at him and will judge him by his words.

I make no secret of the fact that I can't stand Trump. Because in my eyes he epitomises everything I dislike about people. But I don't live in America either and I don't know whether the majority there have different moral ideas than I do. And if it were only about America, I wouldn't care either. But what this person is doing affects the whole world. And if I'm honest, that scares me.

Trump is clearly the absolute opposite of the German post war norm, of economy, ahead of everything else, and of small politics, not getting engaged on the World stage. From a UK perspective, he is interventionist, so similar to Thatcher. Personally I like the idea of some action. Inaction has got us no-where for 4 years.

Trump is signalling he will get involved, giving the players time to resolve on their own. The general thrust of Trump is that its unlikely he will do anyone any favours if they dont resolve it. The threat to Ukraine is loss of USA weapons, and the threat to Russia is an increase in USA weapons. Whatever happens Trump will claim to be trying to help, and will point the finger at Ukr and Russia.

And thats the point why threaten Ukraine? For defending their territory?

This equalizing of nothing similar at all is exactly the Russian modus operandi.

I can't take anything serious demanding concessions or even blaming the victim.

You only can have that mindset if you believe it yourself a little.

Former commie opressor spies like Putler know the blame game and how to work "free" countries and sow the germ of doubt.

There is only one possible peace through power outcome.

And that is Putlers defeat no matter how that will look like.

Putler would love quick ends to his badly planned and executed misadventures only to recalibrate and lick his wounds.

A strategically dumb decision to freeze it now. Will bite you later when Trump is dead.

It's has much more profound repercussions for us in the long run.

They are just weak on their first tries but will not stop.

After this conflict, the Swiss arms industry will probably experience some financial losses... Who wants to buy ammunition or weapons there if they veto you every time... The ammunition was not sold by Poland to some 3rd world country... You could get the impression that they are being paid by the "Möchtegern Führer" to throw sand in the gears.

With that joke decision they certainly lose European clients.

Who needs ammunition and weapons which can not be used against an agressor and e en then only on your own soil?

While the attacker shits on all rules and tries all possible to bring you to redtape yourself as much as possible.

That train has left long ago. Even Germany gives weapons to attacked countries.

The munition in question is the lapua magnum which can be also ordered from Nammo or Arctic Warfare.

I'd love to see Ukr 'win' this. But After this long I'm doubting that they can. Likewise Russia cant 'win it'. So they are stuck. Hopefully ukr is getting good advisors on dealing with Trump, and given some of their moves - taking Kursk as an example, they have a plan. Hopefully Putin is as pig headed as ever, and tells trump to do one, and Trump issues 300 Abrams, 200 himars and unlimited ammo. And then Ukr could spend a year or 2 pushing russians back.

One part of Trump's plan seems to be the creation of neutral zones, so the territory lost from Ukraine, wont officially be Russian. Keeping the issue open for when China takes over the bankrupt Russian state.

Kim's still laughing his ass off after he threatened to destroy them just to come crawling back and trying to be his buddy.

Now Kim has nukes.
North Korea conducted it's first nuclear test back in 2006.

You need bodies to fight a war. You can have all of the fancy stuff you want, but at the end of the day it's infantry that takes and holds ground.

And that's what they're running low on. And unlike russia Ukraine can't just import third-worlders to die for them because the western backers won't stand for that on moral and ethical grounds.

And they'd be the ones footing the bills.

Kim had nukes....way before. But Kim stopped launching missiles though, which was the whole point.

What any US President does, effects the whole world. Case in point: The last 4 years. You can dislike him all you want, but it seems like both parties want an end to the war and I'm pretty confident it will end.
