I'm not saying the Soviets are particularly competent, but a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut, and the west seems determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
In the medium term, if Ukraine is not provided with adequate support, the Russians have both the population and manufacturing capacity to apply continuous pressure and wear the Ukrainians down. Additionally, as we see with the Hamas thugs, our adversaries can continue to add crises stretching our emaciated arms production even further, and they do not seem shy about feeding their population into the breach in order to cross the ravine.
This morning, there was news that the U.S. Army is at its lowest level of manpower since 1940. Weapons programs continue to struggle with production, and lead times continue to grow. I do not see any signs that there is a coordinated attempt to redress decades of neglect in the armament industry or defence forces. In light of the continued buildup and provocations by our enemies, I would say the canary in the coalmine has long since gone to avian heaven and no one paid attention.

I'm thinking them losing so much manpower it will take a long time to replace their numbers, unless they start recruiting middle school types such as Hitler did in WWII. Just look how long it takes the US to field a full Army which was 6 months in the first Iraq war. That was calling up all our reserve forces and Guard to fill out empty divisions. Most of our large bases today have been totally upgraded to living accommodations that would be found at a major university. That started in the 80s but did nothing to make military service attractive for those that simply would go to Canada again knowing a full pardon would be handed to them after the war. That was Carter for the record who screwed the chimp on that one. Today Russia is beginning to look like the same when it comes to filling the ranks, and I don't blame them. I often wonder why everyone feared Russia so much thinking they would walk right into Germany should WW III start, with all the modern fire power of all NATO members Russia would have been stopped in a very short time, by hitting behind the lines which has been forbidden by NATO and the US for Ukraine.

One time in history there was a country that stood up and died for their territory and today we have to crap on them because a half wit is in office unable to finish a sentence and behind him are those that want to allow into the US every known useless person in the world. There aren't any people in today's government capable of responding to aggression on a large scale such as China and Taiwan. The Chinese will fight dirty and there better be someone available that has his finger on the nukes. I read that our response would be conventional but very costly to our Navy. Using some trickery to take out mainland radar and air bases it would still require losing some very big numbers of aircraft and men. I think Taiwan has no intentions of allowing China to just walk in without taking a lot of them out first. China has tried very hard to make Taiwan fire first so there would be an ultimate lie and excuse to invade. So they have already gained the upper hand simply being allow to fly into their airspace and waters any time of day or night without any response. To defeat China would be to starve them to death and not allow them to enter any free world ports by air or sea, it should have already started after they unleashed that virus on the world intentionally, and it was intentional make no mistake.

I'm agreed that men of a military age need to be deported; conscription is no valid reason to grant asylum so long as deserters aren't threatened with capital punishment; and we even deported American soldiers back to their homeland when they requested asylum in these parts so as to evade deployment to Iraq (a war which many European countries considered illegal, I might add).

But seriously, what the hell? Was that racist, anti-Ukrainian undertone really necessary? I'm sure there are plenty of Danish parents who still beat their children, and nevermind the situation in Denmark's sizeable immigrant community.

You are basically wrong, as both the government said it was a Russian missile. The key difference is, unlike the Ukrainian missile, it has not killed anybody and left the Polish airspace.
You don't go into a war with somebody if they just violate your airspace, so there's no point in pretending the missile belonged to somebody else.

It's you who is bullshitting. Both the NATO and the USSR violated their airspace multiple times and shot down each other's planes in the 80s, 70s, etc., but it did not lead to a war.

Can you read Polish at all? It has been established it was a RuZZian cruise missile. As it disappeared from the radar while flying back into Ukrainian territory, the military is searching for it, just to exclude the possibility of the missile having hit Polish territory. The origin of the missile is out of question.
