Sure, whatever. But all I see is that you joined MI very recently, on 13 February 2023. Like I said, I haven't even read your posts, if you felt callout out.
The straw grasping is aneurysm inducing.
A couple hundred Alt Info extremists from the mostly Azeri populated area, do not represent the will of the Georgian people and their aspirations. Soon as those vandalists burned the EU flag, Georgian police arrived and raised a new one.
Both gov and opposition with their supporters, chose the EU-route. Over 3 million Georgians.
We are back to Square One of "not having a clue about the political environment in Georgia."
Please ...
French TV regulator urges Eutelsat to stop broadcasting three Russian channels
Weapon of mass distortion. How Russian TV channels bypass sanctions and continue to broadcast in EU
Channels like Russia Today should have never been allowed in any European country and USA, even before the invasion.
So do Turkey ( one of the most powerful NATO countries ), several EU countries, nearly all of Latin America and a boat load of other countries around the globe.

Yes for abuse of power and the list could be much longer, from state budget theft to murders, if the West didn't throw tantrums, because he prob has too much dirt on several EU parliamentarians and US senators. The Georgian people demanded that he and his goon squad be judged for their crimes and almost revolted because the current Geo gov gave in to Western pressure. One of the major promises the ppl voted them into office.
Yes, they did, and the government withdrew the bill as a result of that. How about actualy telling the truth, instead of just half of it ?
You don't get it. Georgia won't be applied neither to EU nor NATO any time soon. The West will always find reasons to delay or denie. The blissful ignorance is almost adorable. The EU is barely true to their own criteria, especialy in terms of corruption. One giant scandal after another, all the way up to the European Parliament. If application processi were redone with current criteria, I suspect a lot of EU countries would fail miserably.
Ivanishvili made his billions in Russia and then used that money to built cathedrals and restore settlements in Georgia, before he helped remove Saakashvilis regime. He spend hundreds of millions on the well being of his people. Which is why he is still so popular with the majority. The US want him back in official function because of that very reason. Sending their ambassador to him almost daily, threatening to freeze his assets. But he refuses to drag the country into war. Which is why the West is foaming so much.
I personaly don't want Georgia to be under
any string puller, but that's not realistic. All countries are. However, the current gov is at least trying to avoid self destruction and despite all their flaws, they have my utmost respect for that.
No, because it is so dependent on the Russian market, that santioning would deal great harm. Nobody would cushion that.
Yeah ... over a decade ago, brokered by Switzerland, with the condition of international monitoring. You do realize that the US and the rest of the world massively benefited ( and factualy still do ) from trade with Russia right ... ? How is that even remotely comparable.
There are probably more Americans and Italians fighting on the Russian side.
Meanwhile hundreds of Georgians are fighting for Ukraine in all sorts of capacity and lose more people than any of the other foreign fighters.
This is the lowest one so far and you should be ashamed.
Yeah and you got nearly all of it wrong, or fail to make a coherent argument.
Eastern Europe and all of ex-Soviet space can speak Russian ya dingus. Jesus ... what am I dealing with here ... ? Wait till this guy finds out, that Ukrainians can also speak Russian, way more fluently than us Georgians, and without the same thick accent. Nearly 70% of Ukrainians speak fluent Russian.
"Does that make Ukrainians traitors, to Ukrainians ? ?" - shonima, probably
What you claim is simply not reflected by reality and surveys. Plenty of videos interviews also on yt where Georgians express their views towards Russian politics and most of them are overwhelmingly negative. Most Georgians also don't speak Russian, but Georgian and they get increasingly less. Many who do also refuse out of principle because of the war. Tons of videos also from Russians expressing their disatisfaction with how they are treated. This is why shonima.
Smh. What has become of this world.
Good people, whoever said that. You act like that was some controversial statement. Peace is always preferable.
You'll hear such talk in all Slavic / Eastern European countries, also in Greece, really generaly between peoples, also here but yes Orthodox and cultural affiliation plays a greater role in Orthodox nations, compared to Western Europe. I wished those two countries were not fighting, either. What a great thing that would be.
Mhm. You're sending kind of mixed messages here ... Why not put that before "aha, there is some Georgians fighting for RuZZia !", insulting everyones intelligence.
Because it's a lie. That's not just my opinion, but that of about every Georgian I talked to, from all walks of life. Including military and politicians. We want our regions back. But it's not possible rn with military option. For that, as others pointed out, we sorely lack the means. Wanting and actualy being physicaly capable of doing smth, are two vastly different worlds.
Real life is not a Total War campaign with money cheat. Just fyi.
Even I, who always prefers a peaceful solution, would consider and be tempted by military option. But we don't have that right now.
Speaking from an armchair is easy. I have very credible information from people on ground there, who actualy deal in matters of military affairs and diplomacy etc. I love my old country and its military. I don't say these things because I'm "pro-Russian". I point them out, because I care and don't want to lose them, especialy senselessly. We are talking about lives.
