Chaos in Alma-ata (largest city in K-stan). Rioters captured airport, looting of local shops and offices.
ATMs and e-payments doesn't work due to disabled internet.
The main thing is that nationalist sentiments do not begin to rise. Several million Russians live in the country, they can become the object of aggression. Then it will really begin to resemble the prelude to the Chechen war.
~3 mln ethnic Russians in K-stan. My grandparents and other relatives escaped Kazakhstan (Aktubinsk) in 1994, because of repressions against Russians (beatings, rapes, robering), there were a grim times for Russians in post-Soviet states with mild repressions in one countries to full-scale ethnic cleanings and genocide in another. Post 2000 year situation was improved in K-stan (when Kazakhs realised that without Russians they just haven't enought professionals for their economy).
Kazakh army and police is a joke. In many cases they just give their guns to rioters and run away. Hope kazakh government will be able to get their shit together and suppress these riots.
Алма-Ата, Казахстан, Видео вполне можно принять за кадры из Киева 2014 года. На кадрах - попадание из огнестрела по силовику.

Well, it is not some slavic state, where it is really hard to push people to loot stores and kill each other. Central asian nations\societies are quite different - more aggressive, less educated. Corruption is incredible high and service in army and police is a buiseness only.
PS there is special term for Central asian looting and destroy during riots - Kyrgizing. Named after such riots in other central asian respublic of Kyrgyzstan.

A "peacekeeping" force will be deployed for a ‘limited’ period of time to stabilize the situation in Kazakhstan, the chairman of the Moscow-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Nikol Pashinyan, has announced.
On a serious note, that's quite remarkable. After the sack of Magdeburg in the 30-Years-War during the 17th century, the Germans coined the term "Magdeburgisieren" for looting and erasing a whole town.
Not accurate. Troops will be sent be CSTO, the chairman currently is this clown Pashinyan who decided to do it overnight.
I don't really know how many Russians in the CSTO force, but I suspect not a lot. And the deployment won't happen immediately, these troops need to gather first.
True, but nobody cares too much here, at least based on the reaction I saw in social media. Definitely nobody wants our boys to be wounded or killed in this mess.
There are unconfirmed reports that Russian peackeeping forces prepares for deployement. Units of 76 paratroopers brigade and 45 spetsnaz brigade already get an order to depart to Kazakhstan. These are ones of the most expirienced and combat ready brigades in the army.
Units of 24 spetsnaz brigade prepares to deployement also. Brigade located in Novosibirsk region (that is where i live btw), that is bordered with Pavlodar region in the eastern Kazakhstan.
Also some preparations in the Orenburg region (our forum have an forward observer here @Иван Феоктистов), that is on the border with western Kazakhstan.
We also have specialized peacekeeping 15 motorifle brigade. Think they need a bit more time to be deployed.
There is early morning in Moscow and we have not any official statements yet.
