Warfare HAMAS attack on Israel, Oct 2023 & Iran’s Proxies.

@IDF_TANKER Does the IDF have a higher percentage of engineering troops than other armies or they just being used more extensively due to the nature of the fight? I've noticed a lot of engineering troops and actions in this operation.
I haven’t seen any kind of comparative analysis like that. However, I’m reasonably sure IDF pioneered the extensive usage of heavy armored bulldozers in urban warfare. In fact, I’ve seen somewhere a picture of IDF D9 apparently borrowed by US for one of the Iraqi urban operations. Falluja, I think, but I might be wrong…

The IDF supposedly has around 400 D9 armoured bulldozers right now.

So IAF hit another hospital school "killing hundreds".

Initial report is from Al-Jazeera so I'm sure we'll get to see the same explosion filmed from loads of different angles all perfectly centered exactly where the action is.

Another failed launch or command detonated this time?

Yeah in Fallujah, they would establish insurgents were present in a building and then level it with the D9 to begin with. Unfortunately the terrorists changed tactics and when a lead marine went into search a building they had a machinegun aiming at the door, which would shoot them in the legs. Jihadis would then grab the marine, and move them into a back room. Because of the "leave no man behind mantra" they knew they could hold them and it would potentially lure more bodies in for a rescue attempt, so the buildings couldn't be destroyed as a result. Veterans called the buildings "Hell houses".

IDF still searching Al-Shifa for the bunker entrance... if that tablet mag article is accurate then supposedly they would know where it is, and it's just a matter of time before they can locate it, because it was built in the 80's. I imagine Hamas have altered structures in the 16 years they've had control, probably built more tunnels onto it and such as well.

BTP appear to report ultimately to the Transport Minister - I.e. Government.

So maybe that explains their different approach than for example the Met, who report to the London Mayor.....

I see a map of the Palestinian region with no Israel, I see that a lot, so I pretty much know exactly what it means.

The right to freedom of protest on private property?! Uhhh... nope.

is this correct??? that the attack helicopter that fired at terrorists also hit some israeli revellers? i know haaretz is the equivalent of cnn, so not sure how legit the news is

This is what pallybots were claiming in that Syrian girl tweet I posted a few pages back because there's footage of an IDF apache engaging terrorists who continued to cross the border hours later when the military became fully alert to the situation. I don't know a single witness at the festival who heard a helicopter at any point, so I'm not sure what Haaretz is saying here; "apparently also hit some of the revelers who were there." (Google translate). Is apparently the right word? I guess IDF_TANKER may be able to clear up what they're actually saying...

Mistakes happen of course, we already know that it's likely some people died in crossfire when the terrorists used them as literal human shields in the kibbutzim (another thing pallybots have exaggerated to spread their lies).

That’s four full armor brigades… unlikely…
If you put it all together it seems like a lot. However every Israeli brigade has an engineering battalion, and there are a lot of brigades if you include reservists. Wikipedia (yeah yeah) says 175+, but doesn't specify if this is active service only or includes reserves/stored vehicles.

Israel also uses their combat engineers a lot more proactively than any other army that I can think of so the need for a lot of engineers and replacement vehicles to account for attrition (in a potential multi-front war) should scale.

650,000 troops, 2,200 tanks and 5,000 APCs , most of which are ready for use within days or at most weeks and 400 bulldozers doesn't seem like that much of a stretch anymore ...

On a sidenote I wonder if Israel will be upgrading more Merkava 3s to 4(M) standard because of the war. Downsizing the tank fleet seems unlikely so it's either upgrade the old or build more Merkava 4s.

Just tell them you're there to protest climate change and they'll welcome you with open arms.
