This is a terrible attack on the people of France, yet again France bares the brunt of terrorism, this has to stop, stronger tactics and force need to be used.

It is with deep regeret I have to inform all our members that my home town Manchester suffered a terrorist attack last night where 19 souls were lost.

The attack targeted a pop concert by Ariana Grande and specifically an area of the concert where many teenage children congregate at the end of the concert to be collected by their parents.

This is not the first time terror has struck Manchester and I am certain that the people of my town will be strong and robust dealing with this incodent and its aftermath

God bless all those who lost their lives and indeed the families they leave behind

Sadly the death toll has raised to 22 souls.

Rest in Peace
Another mindless killing, RIP and speedy recovery to the injured :(
I wanted to go into a RANT!! about the perpetrators of this attack on young people, because that is what it was. But felt this should be toned down at least while we mourn the loss of so many people and all the injured get healed.

R.I.P to the lost and all the best to the injured and all families concerned.

As you say @Bombardier Manchester has felt the cold hand of terrorism before and displayed great strength dealing with it.
It would appear that the so called Islamic State have claimed responsibility, but then they always do dont they?

At least one young lady has been named as a victim and a man has been arrested in connection with the terrorist attack.

Wait Out!
My deepest condolences to the families of the victims of this terrorist attack. And I wish those injured a speedy recovery. those who were killed during this act of terror.
Given that most fans of Ariana are teen aged girls, it shows what low life scum these terrorists are. I'm not familiar with British law & don't know what kind of sentence could be handed down for this, but those responsible need to he hanged!!!

May God comfort the injured and families of the deceased. SW
@saiga I have not heard of any of our members from Manchester being hurt by this terrible event but thank you for your concern. Hope you had a great time at your event young man.

@NebrHogger our laws do not permit hanging anymore (sadly) but a life sentence without parole is on the cards.

I have had to deal with a teenage girl today (my daughter) she has been touched deeply by this incident although she wasn't there, she is a strong soul and yet remarkably sensitive to things such as these. Some of her school friends were at the concert and it touched me deeply that she was more concerned about their safety than her own.

Well we have to continue with life, if only in honour of those we have lossed or those touched by terrorism throughout the years.

Bombardier OUT! and sat in deep contemplation

British police name suicide bomber, May condemns 'sickening' attack

By Michael Holden and Andy Bruce | MANCHESTER, ENGLAND
British police on Tuesday identified the suicide bomber who killed 22 people, including children, in an attack on a crowded concert hall in Manchester, and said they were trying to establish whether he had acted alone or with help from others.

The man suspected of carrying out Britain's deadliest bombing in nearly 12 years was named as Salman Abedi, aged 22, but police declined to give further details about him.

U.S. security sources, citing British intelligence officials, said he was born in Manchester in 1994 to parents of Libyan origin. He is believed to have traveled by train from London before the attack, they said.

"Our priority, along with the police counter-terrorism network and our security partners, is to continue to establish whether he was acting alone or working as part of a wider network," Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said.

The attacker set off his improvised bomb as crowds streamed out of the Manchester Arena after a pop concert by Ariana Grande, a U.S. singer who is especially popular with teenage girls.

"All acts of terrorism are cowardly," Prime Minister Theresa May said outside her Downing Street office after a meeting with security and intelligence chiefs.

"But this attack stands out for its appalling sickening cowardice, deliberately targeting innocent, defenseless children and young people who should have been enjoying one of the most memorable nights of their lives."

Islamic State, now being driven from territories in Syria and Iraq by Western-backed armed forces, claimed responsibility for what it called a revenge attack against "Crusaders", but there appeared to be contradictions in its account of the operation.

Police raided houses in Manchester and arrested a 23-year-old man.
and can within a month, drown in blood of all terrorists, even on the minimum suspicions and live in the quiet country and be sorry about deeds of 100 years?
British security level raised to highest 'CRITICAL'
It has been suggested that the security forces have information that a further attack is imminent . They would have information from informants and from internet and telephone chatter.

The British Army will now be visibly protecting the public at key points around the country.

I suspect we will see them here in Manchester, I will post some pics as and when I can.

Good old British Army, always there when we need them.
