Japan Ground Self Defence Force underwent intense training in Room Intervention, Close Quarter Battle firing, Obstacle Clearance and Unarmed Combat. Yoga was practised diligently and its contribution towards attaining a healthy body and a sharp mind was well received.
Japan Ground Self Defence Force, in dynamic collaboration during the Joint Military Exercise Dharma Guardian at MFFR, Rajasthan, shared best practices on combat drills, strengthening capabilities, sharpening skills & tactical firing. The seamless teamwork will enhance interoperability & unwavering commitment of both Nations towards Defence Cooperation.
French Army, visited Battle Axe Division at Jaisalmer & was briefed on areas of expertise of Indian Army operating in deserts. Visit will contribute towards overall enhancement of military cooperation between the two countries.
USCG conducted Joint Ex "Sea Defender 2024" day 1 completed off Port Blair. ICG OPV & USCG Bertholf will jointly sail & engage in joint exercises on day 2 and later bid farewell for ship's onward voyage.
Colombo on 05 Mar 24. The Ships were on goodwill visit to Sri Lanka from 27 Feb 24, wherein the ICG Ships had made port calls at Galle and Colombo.
Gulf of Aden. 
Liberian-flagged MV MSC Sky II transiting approximately 90 Nm South East of Aden was reported on fire due to drone/missile attack PM 04 Mar. INS Kolkata, mission deployed in the region for maritime security operations, promptly responded and arrived at scene of incident by 2230 h. A specialised firefighting team of 12 personnel from INS Kolkata embarked the vessel early morning hours of 05 Mar to assist in firefighting efforts. Specialist EOD Team also embarked the vessel and provided assistance in residual risk assessment. The vessel, with a crew of 23 personnel, including 13 Indians, has been escorted to safe waters.
KD Lekir undertook various maritime operations during sea phase of Exercise Samudra Laksamana, including gunnery firing, seamanship evolutions, sea boats, helicopter & maritime patrol aircraft operations. Sea Phase culminated with a traditional Steam Past.
