The rescue of two foreign (US & UK) mountaineers from Chaukhamba III trek in Uttarakhand's Chamoli is a testament to the resilience and skill of the Indian Air Force, along with the collaborative efforts of SDRF, NIM, and French mountaineers. After battling two days of bad weather, the IAF's Cheetah helicopter airlifted the climbers from 17,400 feet, showcasing remarkable coordination in extreme conditions.

INS Tir, INS Shardul & ICGS Veera of 1TS arrived at Muscat, Oman on 05 Oct 24 as part of the Long Range Training deployment.
During the visit, the Indian Navy will engage with the Royal Navy of Oman on varied aspects of maritime security, interoperability, joint exercises & training exchanges.

Historic bilateral maritime engagement between Indian Navy & Italian Navy, from 01 - 06 Oct. Featured maiden exercise by Carrier Strike Groups (CSG) from both navies. Sea phase, on 05-06 Oct, was led by the two carriers INS Vikramaditya & ITS Cavour along with INS Visakhapatnam & ITS Alpino. Intense operations with integral fighter aircraft & helos, for combined Large Force Engagements, Air Combat Missions, Helo Ops & Search And Rescue missions as also coordinated weapon firings & joint manoeuvres, to underscore joint operations, Command & Control capabilities and enhance interoperability. A key facet of the landmark exercise was the participation of IAF, that undertook manoeuvres with Italian CSG aircraft including Large Force Engagements & Combat Missions.

The opening ceremony of the 8th edition of joint military exercise between India and Kazakhstan, Exercise KAZIND 2024, was conducted today at Surya Foreign Training Node, Auli, Uttarakhand. Exercise KAZIND 2024 is scheduled from 30 September to 13 October 2024. The Exercise aims to strengthen interoperability between the Indian Army and the Kazakhstan Army in conducting Sub-Conventional Operations under the UN Mandate.

Indian Coast Guard Ship Sachet successfully rescued two Turtles entangled in ghost nets, approx 35 nautical miles North off the coast of Lakshadweep on 25 Oct 24. Turtles are classified as Endangered Species and are protected under the Indian Wildlife Protection Act of 1972.

Indian Coast Guard Ship Rani Abbakka rescued an Olive Ridley Turtle entangled in fishing nets off Chennai today. The crew acted swiftly during a routine patrol, showcasing our commitment to Operation Olivia.

INS Delhi of the Sunrise Fleet, Frigate Baden-Württemberg and Tanker Frankfurt Am Main of the German Navy undertook their maiden Maritime partnership Exercise in the Indian Ocean including cross deck flying operations, underway replenishment, weapon firings and tactical manoeuvres.

The maiden Indian Navy – Deutsche Marine Maritime Partnership Exercise in the Bay of Bengal is aimed at further strengthening the maritime connect b/n the two nations & interoperability b/n the navies.
