Amidst the arid expanse of the Teesta Field Firing Range, Eastern Command conducted precision firing of Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM). Indian Army further strengthened its bridging capability with the induction of 46-meter Modular Bridge. The bridging system, designed & developed by DRDO and produced by Larsen & Toubro (L&T), was inducted in a ceremony, attended by General Manoj Pande COAS and officials from Indian Army, DRDO & MoD, at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi. Indian Navy swiftly responds to a Maritime Incident in 🇾🇪 Gulf of Aden. 🇱🇷 Liberian-flagged MV MSC Sky II transiting approximately 90 Nm South East of Aden was reported on fire due to drone/missile attack PM 04 Mar. INS Kolkata, mission deployed in the region for maritime security operations, promptly responded and arrived at scene of incident by 2230 h. A specialised firefighting team of 12 personnel from INS Kolkata embarked the vessel early morning hours of 05 Mar to assist in firefighting efforts. Specialist EOD Team also embarked the vessel and provided assistance in residual risk assessment. The vessel, with a crew of 23 personnel, including 13 Indians, has been escorted to safe waters.
