Dassault Mirage IIIO(A), license-built by Government Aircraft Factories, RAAF serial number A3-55:
Delivered 04/08/67.
Withdrawn from active use in the 04/87 when its RAAF-determined airframe lifetime had run out.
It was then used as a training aid at Amberley.
Wore camouflaged 77 squadron scheme
During the late 90's restoration on the aircraft began.
At Amberley 09/01, it was in 76 Sqn markings outside the restoration hanger in an overall aluminum color and red scallops on the intakes similar to the scheme the first aircraft wore when in service.

Was there only one built??? Why just one? Or, how many did they end up making down under??
