The local Fridays for Future chapter of Hanover, Germany just earned a sh!tstorm after they cancelled a scheduled music show because the singer they booked was wearing dreadlocks as a white person. After all their "global strike" to remind of climate change risks was based on an "anti-colonial and anti-racist narrative", and wearing dreadlocks while being white was cultural appropriation. Of course, the singer is welcome to appear on stage on Friday should she cut off her dreads in the meantime.

I guess history and politics classes in the schools of Hanover need to be reschuled to any other days than Friday to give these deluded kids a remote chance to comprehend how epically stupid their cancellation message was. ?

This, by they way, is what I have been saying for years. The political spectrum is not a bar with a left and right edge, but rather a circle with an "extreme" sector that has left and right margins. However, the centre of that sector has no real political orientation other than hate, rejection and violence.

By the way, remember Gil Ofarim, the musician who made global headlines last year by claiming he'd been denied service in a hotel in Leipzig, Germany unless he were to remove his necklace with an affixed Star of David? Turns out he'd pulled a Jussie Smollett and made it all up.

Security camera footage from the receptionist's desk proves he wasn't wearing any necklace at the time, and none of the people present could substantiate his story. Instead, they did testify that Ofarim had complained to hotel staff about other customers being granted what, in his mind, amounted to "preferrential treatment" and promised they'd soon find themselves playing the lead role in a "viral Instagram video".

The receptionist received many death threats as a consequence, and the hotel was hit by a global boycott campaign. The public prosecutor's office has now charged Ofarim with three counts of false suspicion and malicious defamation. (Source 1, Source 2)
