Yup, it happened in Texas and the trial is set to take place there.

Indicted for first degree murder. Though he is 17, so I don't know if he will be charged as a minor or as an adult.

Sometimes minors are treated as adults depending on the severity of the crime, so... who knows.


As for what will be required against him, again, who knows. Could be life in prison. I don't think the death penalty will be required, especially with Metcalf's father being all apologetic towards Karmelo.
Nothing has been decided so far.

Rather interesting and amusing how these calls for "protection" come from more or less the same class of people.

Protect your nanny, protect your maid, your cleaning lady, your gardener, etc... basically your servants.

Though, yes, it also impacted republicans and conservatives employing illegals with or without their knowledge; since the amount of illegals is "so high" in the US you are basically doomed to get one employed if you are hiring non/low qualified personnel.

The thing is, the plea made people like that LA Times person is made with full knowledge of the fact the people in question are illegal.

As some Democrat celebrity, or was it a politician, said prior to Trump being reelected:
"If you deport illegals, who will pick up your crops? Who will clean your bathroom?"

Protect your workers by paying them slave wages, make them work for as long as you need them to, deny them health care and keep them away from any sort of legal protection.
