I don't admit to any of that first world privilege either. Current status of our countries was achieved through back breaking work. Slavery and exploitation is also in our history.

My grandfathers generation still had to eat bark bread to make it. Only this and last generation had it easier, although with my parents, it was still manual labor and factory work in the beginning of their lives.

I am not on agreement that being born here is luck, and hence we have not earned our inheritance, as our parents are the only people we could be born to. Our forefathers just made different kind of decisions.

Literally the story of near every white family to be fair, regardless of your country of origin.

Anyone screaming White Guilt/White Privilege can shove it up where the sun doesn’t shine.

Pre-WW2 and I’ve tracked my ancestors as early as the 1600s and any of which were dirt poor, picking up potatoes and other harvest from dawn til dusk ending up crippled by 60 yo IF they even made it.

So much for white privilege, that’s a wokism fantasy.

Truth is, fast forward the Second World War things generally improved. Sure my grandfather was still working in a factory for a bit then switched to work through formations and courses for an insurance company up until the early 90s.

My parents had it “easier” and were white collars but still worked for 40 years like near every boomers.

Whether through the Franco-Prussian war, the two world wars, then wars of decolonization/independence. Our ancestors guts were clearly more than even “tested”.
