Movie / TV What's the last movie you watched

I watched "Arrival" again. Even knowing more about it - read up on the plot after 1st viewing - it was still creepy. I likes me some science fiction.

Another Arrival lover here. That series of three films that Denis Vileneuve put together in quick succession - Sicario, Arrival and Blade Runner. Some of my favourite movies from the last ten years.

The last military-related movie that I watched on DVD is "The Rock". Classic. There isn't a single moment when I felt bored. Plus, it's obvious that they had a lot of military advisors available during the making of the film. Great display of Navy Seals and Marine Recon uniforms, tactics and weaponry.

First Love (original title Hatsukoi). It's a Takashi Miike movie - he's done everything from family drama to samurai epics to yakuza crime flicks. This falls into the modern day Tokyo gangster genre. Rival Yakuza and Chinese gangsters chase after a stolen drug shipment. The film has slapstick action, dark humor, and a bloody battle at the finale. All good clean fun.

I saw Triple Frontier a few months ago and really liked it. It's more a movie about friendship and comradery than anything else. It's a guy movie. And the last 30 seconds of the movie makes it all worth it. Highly recommend!

Absolute agree. This movie is way better than somewhat "standard" plot would otherwise indicate. Can't wait for the sequel.

The last thing I watched was a documentary about the making of "The Lost World - Jurassic Park". It was pretty interesting.

It certainly sets itself up for a sequel. I hope they make it!

After 6 years of ending of Breaking Bad, El Camino
"What we get is a fugitive thriller without the thrills, and a character study without any character", 4/10 it is one time watchable if you BB fans

The kind of sequel/flick making me happy to not pay 12,99€ for Netflix every month anymore.

I'm paying $11 and change for Netflix per month, if it was to go higher I would opt out also. Stuff playing 13 euro/month

Not a movie but get this in ya!

Operation Cat S**t 1:cool:

Joker....OMFG it is amazing. The acting is just superb, and every scene is just gorgeous.

Coming attractions showed that a remake of Midway is enroute...that seems to include the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Dolittle raid and Midway (time permitting). Lots of CGI that I don´t even think looks that good and that is clearly done for 3D. I have a feeling that this will be an awful piece of film, while the original is a great classic.

Stuber

Not a masterpiece or anything but it made me giggle.

Nothing at all on TV so I watched Braveheart again. Plenty of English/Scot conflict there!

Actually not that much on Netflix, either, but older daughter gave me her password so it costs zero.

Best review of Braveheart I ever read said something along the lines of "the only way it could be more factually inaccurate would be if it featured a plastecine dog and was called 'William Wallace and Gromit' "
