Vietnam is probably unique as one of the few, if not the only, countries that operated both North Korean & South Korean equipment. From North Korea, Vietnam obtained Yugo class submarines & Hwasong tactical ballistic missiles (equivalent of Soviet SCUD missiles). From South Korea, Vietnam obtained the Pohang class corvettes for the Vietnam People's Navy along with Shinjeong S5 Armored Personnel Carriers for the Vietnamese Mobile Police Force. Additionally, South Korean manufactured armored vests are issued to the rapid-reaction force of the Vietnamese border guard, along with other modern foreign equipment.

wow im a lance corporal , yup Vietnam is the only country using both north Korean and south Korean weapon lol we are good friend to the both Koreans .

We have the Galil since the 90´s. Now we made or own rifle as I said before under IWI lincese. we have the Galil in its three versions in cal 5.56.
I had the chance to shoot it and its amazing !!!!

oh cool wonder why not just upgrade the gali to gali ace version instead of develop a totally new gun ?

Vietnam super puma EC225 ( used by navy and Vietnam helicopter aka a branch of Vietnam military that provide civilian service ( aka fly to oil rig / sight seen and also do SAR / fire fight vv ) but in war will be active as a military unit they used both European/American/Russian helicopter ) heli in the picture below are belong to the navy

not much info about the 2 scope , but the 1x-4x are idea are like eclan scope but much much cheaper lol ( eclan cost more then a galil ace gun I bet lol , maybe the same price at a SCAR in the US )

Hey berkut why Ukraine ship engine product so much smoke when starting the engine and enterting/exiting port and running at low speed ( white smoke ) ? I live in a apartment that look at the port ( da nang ) and everytime the gepard stop by it made huge white smoke I hope that now Ukraine become more westernize your guy engine will improve and don't made smoke when starting the engine and coming into dock like RR and german engine on western warship

Because Ukraine de-industrialized since getting independence. It is what it is right now. Essentially still living off late-Soviet era designs. There are issues with engine production, at least APCs are getting German diesels. Trucks are "Made in Belarus" kits with Chinese engines and transmissions.

They look like airsoft replicas. Sorry. Just not that visually appealing. But if they work, especially on 7.62mm weapons, who cares about the appearances.

oh they are not airsoft scope that I know for sure lol , airsoft scope are plastic and dirt cheap and you cant even buy airsoft gun in Vietnam ( you can but it illegal and you can go to jail cause the govt list airsoft at weapon @@ lol . Well it suck being Ukrainian seeing they country being a good place in soviet union and turning into .... now day aka there seem like no hope or energy left in Ukraine the future look dark and now Ukraine just get more screw with the Russian cant buy any ship engine from you guy ( and now they start developing they own ) I think the last order Ukraine ship engine company gona get are from indian for they 3 destroyer , the btr4 are screw after Iraqi issue , the t84 also screw when the only buyer Thailand stop buying them and just go for Chinese type 4 mbt , kinda suck for Ukraine really they have so much potential in arms industry , from a arms export country to a import country @@ how thing can change in a short period , well Vietnam did buy a lot of document and other thing from Ukraine for dirt cheap back in 2000s ( maintain/repair vv manual about su27 ) which help Vietnam save a lot of $$ of not need to send them back to Russia for over haul , the coast guard 400t-500t design are from Ukraine too buy for dirt cheap price too , well best luck to Ukraine , hope the young generation gona gain hope and energy to rebuilt Ukraine back to a industry country and become export and not import of arms country

You should check the Ukrainian thread on my opinions on the Ukrainian arms industry. Sorry, whatever was left from the USSR fell apart, and things are improving very slowly. Ukrainian companies are still able to do an excellent job fixing up old Soviet equipment and even upgrading them if access to Western parts exist, but new staff is "problematic". The only bright area is missile development and product of missiles all types. Ukrainians are still good at this.

Vietnam navy hydrographic/ocean survey ship built in Vietnam befor our kilo submarine been deliver(2010) since then it have been maping the ocean sea bed for our submarine in the south china sea , the ship are name after Tran Dai Nghia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trần_Đại_Nghĩa) (father of Vietnam weapon industry , who help Vietnam built bazooka copy and recoiless weapon In 1950 to fight the French who try to recolonize us ( the only anti tank weapon we have befor 1950 are the sucide anti tank stick that we capture from the Japanese ) he was Vietnamese scientist, military engineer who study in French and He then went to work at the École nationale supérieure de l'aéronautique. In 1942, he moved to Germany, where he worked in various factories on the production of weapons and aircraft befor returning to Vietnam to help the motherland

there was a funny incident when crimea become Russia , our KA27/28 was being modernize in crimea tks god they keep doing they job and finish on time and return our heli ,there were rumor north Korean ICBM technology are from Ukraine ( which can be true , cause china/Vietnam buy a lot of tech from Ukraine back in the 2000s , so no doubt the north also manage to buy tech from Ukraine ( not legal way but back door way )

Right now, absolutely not. There is nothing left to buy for one thing, and there is a very, very strict control over "sensitive technology" transfers. Back in the 1990s and early-2000s, for sure, Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia pretty much an arms bazaar with no oversight.

yes,t-80 and btr-3 send to thai very slowly late years,now thai buy tanks and wheels apcs from china and lav-25 from usa.
i think t-80 and btr-3 not fully delivered,maked not show offically to mass communication.
not signed deal t-84,but thai builded cargo ammunition!

how old are u?

above 22 younger then 25 , born in a period Vietnam still poor and just start having internet , my gen was the last generation to play tradition game and know how to play them , know how the electric get cut off 4-5 time per month in summer when I was kid , when there are not much AC in normal household ( now every house have a ac in each room lol aka a house with 3 room will have 3 ac ) have basic military training on how to maintain ak/ aim and shot , how to threw grenade but im not in the army ( high school / university get basic military training , for high school it 1 week per year , university it 1 month ) been in a lot of military base from many branch from border guard to army to air defense to navy base haven't been on airforce base ( I been in more military base then most normal non military people ) grandfather was a Vietminh soldier then NVA who fought the French then American , uncle who fought in Cambodia vs Khmer rough , have a uncle in the navy and nearly die from a sea snake bite lol , my mom and her sibling live thru the b52 bomb raid on ha noi , enough private infomartion for you ?
