USS Sterett (DDG 104) Arleigh Burke-class Flight IIA guided missile destroyer coming into San Diego after 9-month deployment with the Nimitz CSG passing USS Michael Murphy outbound going to escort the USS Nimitz - February 26, 2021

Actually Micheal Murphy is returning to her homeport of Pearl Harbor. Don't know what ship will escort Nimitz back to Bremerton. Micheal Murphy came into San Diego for a very short stay..

Our grand son,Poopeye, is aboard Nimitz. My wife nearly watched the whole parade of Nimitz Strike Group ships coming into San Diego. Nimitz is berthed at NAS North Island off loading her air wing personnel and their equipment. Nimitz should be heading back to Bremerton in the next couple of days. I served aboard Nimitz in 1991.
